[Opinions of God's political leanings were deleted because they cast a judgment on people with whom the author does not agree. In other words, God is not a Democrat OR a Republican and saying that he is one of the other will cast questions about the salvation of those who are in opposition with the author. Voting parties are man's invention and there are errors and good points to all parties; so, let's keep from judging people by implying that God would vote a certain party line. If this continues, I will close the thread.]

Can't be any more clear then that.:godisgood:

    I agree.

If Jesus voted, He certainly would not vote for a baby killer.

Kind of makes Him a one issue voter eh?

Apparently you didn't read the whole article if you think it's is only about abortion. You forgot the Hollywood left, gay rights, taking God out our lives, legalizing drugs etc...that you align with.

If Jesus were alive, he wouldn't vote. This is a ridiculous thread.

The closer we come to putting a pro-abortion president in the White House, probably the more anti-abortion threads there will be.

As for me, I have discussed and argued with you and Ken on every angle of abortion that I can think of, and none of us three have budged on our stance.....so.....I will not be getting into another deep abortion debate unless some new material arises....and hopefully it will.

Bro Curtis, I like your way of thinking 99% of the time. You are very knowledgable about both political and spiritual topics, and your insight makes a whole lot of sense.

    But on this?????

First of all....My Jesus is alive!!!!

And secondly, even though He didnt get involved with government issues during His ministry on Earth, I do believe that He expects us to vote. And I believe that He expects to vote following biblical principles as closely as possible.

Comparing the platforms and beliefs of the two partys to biblical principle is certainly a requirement for all Christians.

Jesus is King, He doesn't need to vote for anybody.

Bro. Curtis you almost had it right.

    Excellent, you got me.

I know Israel was under Roman control at Christ's time, but Rome let the Jewish leaders control their people, pretty much. The Jewish leaders at the time were all O/T scholars, and even though they failed to recognize Christ, they followed O/T law, to a fault, almost. And Christ never gives me any indication that he would even engage a political process, and am quite sure he would have some things to say to both candidates that would make them quake in their shorts.....just like he did then. I'm sure their were more conservative leaders, & liberal ones, but they all wanted Christ dead.

    That's why I said it.

I understand where you are coming from now. I was taking the OP and the article as a hypothetical question, and you were looking at more literally.

On the literal side, I would have to say you are correct.

He wouldn't have voted for war mongers either. I suppose he would have voted for Ron Paul.

I come off way too harsh, sometimes.....sorry.

Believe me, I will be holding my nose, in that booth. America is in sad shape if these two are the best we can do.

    Who would Jesus vote for?

I guess we will find out in November, since 'The Most High rules in the kingdom of men and He gives it to whoever He will.'

For the last time----who do you consider to be war mongers and just where do you think God stands on the issue of war? Some enlightenment for you:

Big difference between "...whoever He will." and Who he would vote for. God's plan and reasons are only known to him and the fact that there are/have been some terrible rulers in history certainly doesn't mean he would have voted for them---just simply God had a plan overall.:godisgood:

Already answered that. Everyone else saw it. Why didn't you ?

Yes, Christ is alive, but I don't think he would be able to register to vote, do you ?
