Of course. The plutocracy simply say, "let them, meaning us, eat dung." They are not as generous as the French Queen who said: "Let them eat cake".

Obamacare is a vivid example of what happens when the people allow the Federal Government to sidestep the Constitution at will, something they have been doing at least since FDR.

It doesn't really matter who sits on the Supreme Court, does it?

Well, now is the time to contact your Congress. Vent your rage and at least you will know who to vote out in 2012...depending upon how they vote on this issue.

Remember, they are all going home next week, so flood their offices with your emails, letters, and telephone calls! Speak out, America.

The lives of millions of Americans are about to forever change at the hands of less than 536 people who think they are gods.

The legislation is still being crafted so there is no bill at this time.

How did they post a copy of a bill that doesn't exist?

Oh, I remember, same way they opposed the supreme court nomination before she was nominated.

Doesn't matter what that says, at this time the Senate has three different bills from three different committee's which will now have to consolidated into something for the floor to vote on and the house has more versions than that.

So I repeat, there is no legislation at this time. Just proposals.

    Proposals lead to legislation

Could be they are floating different proposals to get an ideal what the (low income) Americans want and then they (Congress) will see how much they can get away with.

And when they are still proposals is exactly the time to make your voice heard. And exactly the time for debate.

Are you saying that we should not concern ourselves until after a bill is made law?

Or until we are told that there is a final bill that will not be read by those making the actual vote - usually in some short rushed frantic time frame to keep it all hush-hush from the public.

After all the last thing that anyone wants is an informed public.

I agree 100% except for the informed public part. The democrats are trying to hold town hall meetings to explain their ideas but the meeting are being disrupted.

This is also why I am disappointed in the Republican's for spending all their energy opposing the legislation instead of at the table proposing alternative solutions. The nation wants health care reform so opposing it completely just doesn't make sense. I know they were successful when Clinton tried but this seems like a different atmosphere.

So far, the only real solution I've heard from the GOP is allowing people to purchase from other states. However, this could have a two way effect. I agree a person from a high cost state might be able to purchase a more reasonable plan from a lower cost state, there is nothing to stop the insurer from the low cost state from raising their rates or charging a different out of state rate like colleges do today. There is no guarantee of cost reform in that measure.

Democracy works best when we can all sit down at the table of discussion and compromise or agree to disagree. This is supposed to distinguish the civilized from the uncivilized.
