They didn't collapse because of the impact of a Boeing 757. The towers were designed to withstand the impact of a fully loaded Boeing 707 including the fire from the fuel. Anybody ever fly on a Boeing 707? That aircraft was built like a tank and considering that the 757 was lightly loaded was just about the same size and weight as a 757.

Only three steel framed high rise buildings have ever collapsed due to fire in history. Those were the two WTC towers and WTC 7. WTC 7 wasn't hit by an aircraft or significant debris and yet it came down. There wasn't even a serious fire there. Why did this happen? BTW I know a little bit about structures with 33 years experience as an engineer, the first 3 in aerospace.

Everyone has their opinion and differences... for the safe of argument, let's only talk about WTC #7 for a minute..

If that one wasn't hit by a plane, only had a small fire that according to the NYFD was containable.. Why did it fall?

No matter if you're on the "Left" or "Right" it just doesn't make sense for that building to have fell does it?

Again: there are 25,000 web pages about WTC Building 7 and it's
collapse. If someone happens to run across one or two of those
pages that is NOT a conspiracy site -- please share the link,
    Thank you.

James_Newman: //Yeah, thats right, you can't find nothing out about building seven. Why? Because the evidence was all destroyed.//

Wrong assumption there. The reason I can't find any facts about building seven
is because the 25,000 pages are mostly conspiracy theory pages
and the few REAL PAGES with REAL DATA on them are as neddles in
a haystack. If someone happens to run across one or two of those
pages that is NOT a conspiracy site -- please share the link,
    Thank you.

Been there and done that repeatedly.

One gets tired of trying to speak reasonably to conspiracy kooks. You can use the "search" feature, so you can find the proof we've offered for yourself.

You say "what they believe is not evidence" in one sentence then put your own belief forward as evidence in the next? My own belief is based on what all the evidence has been and is adding up to. I think it's quite telling and comical that the coincidence theorists arguements have been reduced to name calling and acting like 5 year olds fighting over the last cookie.

I can tell that even Ed is getting quite desperate in his attempts to steer people away from any sites (or sources) that may provide real documented evidence contrary to the official story. The whole idea that anyone that even tries to get information from anyplace other than govcorp's monopoly controlled corporate media is a terrorist, un-patriotic, liberal, or what have you shows the depth of the desperation (and dishonesty) the coincidence theorists are having to resort too in the face of real opposition. And their only defense seems to be keeping the "kooks" painted as a small group of radicals on the fringe, when in fact one third of the U.S. population and most of the world make up that group of "kooks".

Who cares what "they believe" Marcia? Well, for one govcorp's controlled media is quickly losing all credibility by putting out "hit pieces" on "conspiracy theorists" while totally avoiding any real debate about the evidence being put forward by people who they label as kooky and nutso. You think they care their credibility is suffering because of their inability or unwillingness to have a fair and balanced debate on all the evidence and facts in a public forum with the so called kooks?

Or that more people are turning away from them and their 5 or 6 monopolized corporate sponsors to the internet and independent reporters and journalists in the blogoshpere that do not have to tailor their reports to govcorp's satisfaction (to survive) to get their news and information? Rupert Murdoch cares and is very much worried about it to hear him tell it.

Poncho speaking to Marcia: //You say "what they believe is not evidence" in
one sentence then put your own belief forward as evidence in the next?//

The difference is THEY do not post here, she does post here.
Her 'opinion' (Poncho's also) counts more here WHERE SHE POSTS
than the opinions of those who don't post here.

Again: the quotied 'facts' from one conspiracy site to another consparicy
site are not the same as REAL FACTS.

    For the third time:
There are 25,000 web pages about WTC Building 7 and it's
collapse. If someone happens to run across one or two of those
pages that is NOT a conspiracy site -- please share the link,

humm, a google for //WTC "Building 7"// gives 197,000 'hits' today???

Here is a clearing house for WTC Building 7 conspiracy theories:

    http://www.wtc7.net/

Here is a question (note the use of conspiratoria questions instead
of definative statements) from that site:

//Why did the government rapidly recycle the steel from
the largest and most mysterious engineering failure
in world history, and why has the media remained silent?//

The "largest and most mysterious engineering failure in
world history" was the BENT PYRAMID of Dahshur, which see.

Here is a picture of the BENT PYRAMID of Dahshur:

Actually I recommend it for those of you who are retired and would like
to have a second career where knowing nothing about the subject
is a plus. Otherwise if you spend 70k hours (34 years) on the
WTC building 7 conspiracy theory, you would waste your time.
But if you keep repeating the lame theories of others, you can
    have recognition as 'an expert'.

Poncho: // ... the same way that govcorp's mass media talking
heads "quote each other"(btw) and even run the same stories
word for word over and over 24/7 in many cases
gets most of their information from?//

Forgotten are the days when Regan was president and the
mass media was against the government.
Forgotten are the days when Nixon was president and the
mass media was against the government.

Nobody said being a conspiracy nut was easy  just nutty

Here's an image of WTC 7. As you can see, there was indeed significant fire inside the building.

"..we were pretty sure that 7 World Trade Center would collapse. Early on, we saw a bulge in the southwest corner between floors 10 and 13, and we had put a transit on that and we were pretty sure she was going to collapse. You actually could see there was a visible bulge, it ran up about three floors. It came down about 5 o?clock in the afternoon, but by about 2 o?clock in the afternoon we realized this thing was going to collapse."

It worked for Michael Chertoff's 20 something year old cousin. He's known as an expert now because of his Popular Mechanics article.
