    Hey! I got it!!!

This question has been asked before (and completely ignored, as to giving an answer) but I will ask it one last time.

Where does Scripture ever promise to give us "an inerrant Bible" in one volume?

In fact, where does the Scripture ever promise or claim any single volume of the Scriptures?

    Anywhere???????

I just did some quick checking and now ask, where is the word "Bible" even found in the Scriptures, when translated into English?

Incidentally, one can easily find this out on the Bible gateway site, and I will help you out.

Out of 20 English translations found there, exactly one even uses the word "Bible" anywhere (13 times in 10 verses) in the text, so I guess that must be the one version several of you are referring to when making that claim.

That version happens to be the Message (MSG), so I guess we actually must have several clandestine supporters of that version on the BB.

Boy, was I ever surprised to find that one out!! [IMG][IMG]

Now, having already wasted more than enough time on this pointless and redundant thread, -

    "I'm outta' here!"

Why is it that thousands of believers before your time, and even now during your time (who do not believe as you do) believe this statement:
I believe that the Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and doctrine.
they don't have any problem understanding what "Bible" means? Only you do? Why? You have changed the meaning of "Bible" to make it mean something other than it means. What does the word "Bible" mean in the NT, OT, in Hindi, Punjabi, Cree, Maori, Spanish, etc. What does it mean? Does it mean KJV? Is that what Paul used. Did Paul use the KJV, Will? Did he?

In that case you are the agnostic. You claim that for hundreds of years NO ONE had a Bible- and that most people today don't have one. What an arrogant position.

The point I was making, Harold, is that when we signed up for this board we agreed to a set of rules.. We must be held accountable to this agreement. I remember Brandplucked AKA Will Kinney from yrs ago.. like 2003-2005. And the reason I remembered him was because I used to debate in the versions section, and his verbal attacks on anyone that disagreed with him was awful.

In the rules we agreed too, we are not allowed to have 2 accounts.. or if we get banned we are not allowed to come back under a different name.

And someone intentionally breaking rules to post here has no credibility to discuss the Word of God.

Also, here is an article that Will wrote and a section is about me...
http://www.geocities.com/brandplucked/NotKJB.html Notice his name, brandplucked in the URL

Here is what he wrote about me...

This was written at least 4 yrs ago.. .
At least he said I was honest...

Nothing arrogant about it. The truth of it was revealed by the sovereign grace of God. Not because I'm smarter or holier or more righteous than anybody else. True faith is a gift of God. It is not produced by the flesh of man.

Most people today when pressed against the wall to admit what they REALLY believe about "The Bible" do not believe a REAL paper and ink Bible that you can hold in your hands and believe every word as the inspired and 100% infallible words of God exists.

Could you hand a REAL Bible to anyone of the type DHK is promoting? You know, those non-existent originals he's always talking about. He flat out said that No translation is perfect or infallible. Why don't you pick on his imaginary bible views instead of mine?

Yes, I did. I think you are honestly wrong, but what is it you seem so upset about. My being a member of this forum or the fact that you have openly admitted that you do not believe such a thing as a complete, inspired and infallible Bible exists in any language?

You just proved by your own words that you do not have nor believe in an inerrant Bible, just as I have been pointing out all along. That is the position now held by the majority of Christians. You just confirmed my argument.

No he proved my assertion: you have redefined the term "Bible" to fit your paradigm, in order that you can cowardly lash out at others and hide behind a falsely conceived and illogical doctrine which many call a cult.

What Tiny calls a Bible, you don't. You have redefined a Bible within the narrow scope of KJV leaving more than 99% of the world without a Bible, a point which Mexdeaf keeps pointing out to you, and you keep ignoring. You have no answer for your dilemnas except to mock, call names "Bible agnostics," and speak derisively of others. That is your form of debate when you can't give an intelligent answer.

    DHK's invisible Bible

Oh, now I see what you been trying to tell me all this time. Your " Bible " is not really a book or object that exists in this world and somebody can actually see, touch or hold in their hands. Your "the Bible" is a far superior thing than something so common as that. Your "Bible" is actually pure space thought and a cosmic consciousness type of thingy.

Yes, now that is a whole lot more intelligent than my stupid idea of an actual book. Thanks, DHK, your irrefutable arguments and sound reasonings have finally brought me out of my past mental darkness and into a new and dazzling light of full understanding - Not.

Where exactly is this "hostility" you speak of?

Where exactly is this "hostility" you speak of? Can you give some specific examples? The exchanges get a little lively and a tad heated, but so far I fail to see the hostility.

The moderators are free of course to close it down if they wish, but just because people have disagreements and different beliefs and points of view does not always mean there is hostility.

Maybe women have a general tendency to see any form of disagreement as hostility but most men do not. Is Christianity becoming feminized? Probably a good case could be made that it is.

What????? Where is this coming from? As far as I know, I'm the only woman to comment on these recent threads. I haven't accused anyone of hostility and I have no idea what your statement about Christianity becoming feminized has to do with Bible translations. I don't even know what that means.
