    Or this....as Winman posted...

You'll have to do your own homework....

This is a VERY good link. Walls delineates perfectly the Philosophical pre-disposition between Arminianism and Calvinism...

    The difference ISN'T "Theological"....it is...(and always has been).."PHILOSOPHICAL".

That is what separates the Calvinist from the Arminian...not the Scripture, not the Bible....their Philosophy.

I do not believe that Monergists should integrate with arminians. And I personally don't involve myself or my family with them. I view the SBC as one big bastardised church which I will have no part of.

Because he prefers separation over what he believes to be irreconcilably different views of the nature of man and God...

I think those are insurmountably differing views such that common ground is not reasonably found and shouldn't be sought...

Sheer separation is easier and better (in this instance) as constant attempts at seeking common ground..
"Common Ground" is too preciously gained for it to be worthwhile for either side. Better we parted ways....

And again, I say.....I'll let the Calvinist brothers take EVERY S.B.C. Seminary and Al Mohler with them....

As long as they promise to NEVER come to, or candidate at our Churches again.

    I am completely transparent...

Your inability to understand what I am saying isn't my fault...

    It's yours.

This is a forum to discuss theology. I'm asking someone to explain a new theological term to me... compatibilism.

I am also curious why professing Christians are vehemently advocating separation from other professing Christians with whom they have different views of theology (or philosophy). I find that interesting and want to understand why people feel and act as they do.

Look up what "Compatibilism" is for yourself...
Why do you want everyone to do your work for you??

    That's lazy.

    Follow Winman's link. It's simple.

    "Compatibilism" isn't really a "Theological" term...it's a Philosophical one.

A pre-disposition towards "Compatibilism" will shape what your "Theology" is on any given question.

I gave you links...(ones I poured over for hours and hours)...they are EXTREMELY instructive.
    But, do your own homework....
You've been provided with every link you need listen to the link Winman gave you (it's a video...something that lazy minds can watch) t.v. it's T.V.........it's immediately relevant and directly instructive.

Watch this video, it's very good and will explain Compatibilism in a very simple manner that is very easy to understand.

If you want to get right to it, skip to about 10:00 in the video, this is when he will begin to explain Compatibilism to you.

    Watch Winman's link. o.k.?

"Loving Christian fellowship" you're not going to get from me, because I'm going to tell you this...

    You are being intellectually LAZY.

I have no patience for intellectual laziness.

I will "love" you in this way:
I care enough about you to tell you that you are intellectually lazy, and you will never better yourself unless and until you do some studying on your own.

Faithful are the wounds of a friend:

    Pro 27:6
Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.

I appreciate the advice. Again, I don't follow links. Just give me the short version so we can discuss it.

You can't "discuss" anything" until you've followed the link.

What Winman gave you was simple, easy and instructive....

What I Gave you was harder to follow and would have required you to grow up a little an not be intellectually lazy.

If you are unwilling to follow either one....Than you are useless in a discussion of this magnitude.

This is beyond your ken then....
Go continue to debate why Beyoncé is hotter than Kim Kardassian.

I am surprised by the hostility and insults. It says volumes about you. What comes out of your mouth (so to speak) is what is in your heart. Thanks for being candid. I know not to engage you in any conversation.
