Why I hate the KJV ...

debate.
I knew that would get you to look.
I hate the debate because those caught up in it are so consumed with it they rarely discuss any bible content.
When those caught up in the debate do discuss doctrine it's brief and then back to the debate.
I have monitored this board for a long time and some of you are unbelievable.
You say the same thing over and over. You pick some topic in the debate and go on for pages ranting.
Then the "elite" ( at least as far as they are concerned) take their shot pointing out the ignorance of everyone on the subject.
Only to be followed by the saliva slinging mad man that spits all over the screen to make their point.
Honestly folks, take a look at the bible version site and see for yourself what I am talking about.
Go through the topics, look at the names, read the entries and see if what I am telling you is true.
When you come to your name read what you have written and ask yourself, how many times have I said the exact same thing.
You will be shocked if you just step back take a breath and give an honest objective look.
Back to the "elite" for just a moment. Read what you have posted and ask yourself, am I really that much smarter than everyone else.
I have an idea. Let's take a look at some of the other topics on this board and get involved in a content discussion.
You might even start one of your own and we will all come there.
I doubt that I will live long enough to actualy see this happen but it was a thought.
I imagine when I return tomorrow to the board I will see the same names in the same place saying the same things.

 

Is that a standard greeting or am I supposed to relate it to my post?

Please do not use the word HATE to descirbe my Bible.
And to be honest you probably will see the same people post. Not everone here is a member to discuss and argue. Some use the fellowship forums only.

Romans 3:13

The only thing that I will ever get fumed about ps2 is you bad mouthing the word of GOD. Please do not do that and take these verses into account before you do. This is NOT a place of hate or a place of anger. THIS is a place of discussion and of learning ....

I just stay away from the KJVOnly debate because they wont change me and I wont change them.

 

One thing. I'm not KJV only ..... but the word of GOD is the word of GOD. no matter what translation you use

Stop and READ the entire sentence Lea. S-l-o-w-l-y this time. Noone said anything about your bible but you.

Don't mis-quote me pinto bean oh I mean pinoybaptist. I said "elites at least as far as they are concerned" Elites on both sides of debate. When they read the post they know who they are. So do you.

 

Ok singing cop did you read the start post on this thread? We are going to discuss some bible instead if just thumpin the one in our hand.

For heavens sake read what it says. It appears you are looking for an arguement.

 

I am not looking for an arguement I just do not like the word hate. Hate means no options that your mind is set. I will grant you that it did Fume me a little and I am very sorry for that and, ask your forgiveness. It's just one of those things that I hold so dear to my heart. It is very hard not to get my feathers in a ruffle when someone uses KJV and hate in the same sentence. I do apologize

 

You don't like the word hate?
You better spend some time reading that bible and find out what God hates.
Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

Humm, Point well taken. But , what i'm referring too is the fact that your post was meant to rile people who don't normally post to jump in with both feet and state thier opinion.

The thing is all it insipired in me were tears.

Now, I've asked the question about the diffrent versions of the Bible, and done my research. If you have been reading the board for a while i'm sure that you have seen the topic's. But, in the end, it's like I said. It dosen't matter what version you use as long as you use one.

Some people here have put in a lot of time studying and are very what's the word, focused on what they themselves believe. They know more than I do. Personally I am just trying to learn like everyone else.

God hates those things. And, you know what so do I. I just don't like hearing the word in the same sentence as anything having to do with Christian. WE need to learn tolerance for people who do not share our views. Something that is put into practice on this thread daily for me personally. There are several times that i wanted to scream that people were being close minded. But, I remembered I am a Christain woman and that was NOT my place. It is not my job to point out someone else's problems. It's up to the LORD to do that. I can only take care of my own, and sometimes I have a hard time doing that, considering my post before i'm sure you can agree.
