Does anybody know why the baptisttop1000 site is down? It's been unusually long. Anybody know the inside scoop on this?

Baptist Top 1000's webhost accidently deleted the entire site. They are trying to restore it from their backups.

Webhost, can you send me a private message?

I'm looking to see what kind of host they (and you, possibly) need.

I've got a (possible) hosting solution for them for $5 a month....

    Webmaster -
You seem to be so "in the know". Will those of us with URL's listed with them need to resubmit our information? Thanks for keeping us informed.

Don, Baptist Top 1000 is hosted with one of the largest webhosts. BTW, I'm more than convinced that Baptist Top 1000 is one of the most bandwidth-hungry Baptist sites and 40-50GB of bandwidth are requred at current levels. And that costs ten times the $5/month, at a minimum [IMG]

Klint, if they can successfully restore the site everything will reappear.

If you need a reliable server, check out mZLab.net. They actually GIVE you the server and host it for you. One drawback, however, is you have to pay for the bandwidth. However, they only charge $0.70 / 1GB. GREAT deal if you ask me. If only I had the income... [IMG]

    The CI Host saga continues.

First, they deleted the entire website

Second, they had no backups, even though they promise daily backups

Third, they won't refund the remaining prepaid 18 months of webhosting fees for my domains.

How can a company survive with this kind of service these days? Theft won't work for long.
