I never said there was a deficiency in scripture, nor am I denying what the Bible teaches. I am simply asking you how you can claim that every choice is predetermined and inescapable, while simultaneously claiming that it is possible to choose differently. I don't go for "it's beyond me" in this case, that could be used to accept any contradiction or teaching. You should be able to explain what you believe.

I believe it because the Bible plainly states it.

The Bible plainly states a contradiction? I don't think so.

Won't you even try to explain how it is possible to choose differently?

It is no contradiction. The Bible plainly states that God works all things according to the counsel of his will. You deny this because you think it is a contradiction. It would do no good to attempt to explain it, even if I could, as long as you have made up your mind to trust your own understanding rather than trusting God's revelation of Himself and His rule over creation.

</font>[/QUOTE]Yes, you have made up your own mind, and you are accountable for it.
