Because most Blacks are Democrats and most Blacks are against the war. Sharpton is just playing to the crowd. Sharpton is the Greg Dixon of the far left. Most Blacks talk about Bush the same way that Mrs. Sheehan does--in other words they curse Bush and call him names.

IMHO, I think Mr. Sharpton is an opportunist. Obviously he sees this as an opportunity. I'm surprised he hasn't jumped in before now.

Yup. Should be real interesting when he meets all the White supremists that are allready there supporting Sheehan.

And they are there, I just won't link to their sites to prove it. Loot it up. Several Neo-Nazi groups have voiced support for her, since she also thinks Joos ruined the world. They have the info on their sites.

That's too brash for tender ears according to some moderators despite it's appropriate meaning in this context!

<Too bad, the answer is still no - LE>

This may become a very bad cause to get behind, politically, as I haven't seen a single NAME get behind her.

Here's a name familiar to some that is behind Cindy all the way:

    Lisa Fithian

    http://www.nationalreview.com/york/york200508290901.asp

    Cindy Sheehan’s Radical Strategist
Have you heard of Lisa Fithian? A veteran of the Seattle WTO riots and scores of other protests, she’s been with Sheehan from the start.

    SNIP

Although she has received virtually no attention from reporters covering Sheehan, Fithian has been part of the Crawford protest from the very beginning. In a telephone interview with National Review Online on Sunday, she explained that she was with Sheehan in Dallas at a meeting of the antiwar group Veterans for Peace during the first days of August when the decision was made for Sheehan to go to the president's ranch. On August 6, when Sheehan went to Crawford — in a bus with the words "Impeachment Tour" emblazoned on the side — Fithian went along. "I came the first day and helped her [Sheehan] set up the initial encampment," Fithian said. With the exception of one brief absence, she has been there ever since.

    (emphasis mine)

Sharpton is there for photo ops. Fithian, it appears, is running the show.

Because they're both media <edited-LE> who couldn't give a rip about anybody or anything but their own political expediency.

On the one hand, you have Sharpton, who is responsible for the deaths of children in the race riots he started over "Tawanna Brawley".

On the other, you have a mother who has decided to spit on the grave of her own dead son.

    Let them have each other.

Heard a quote on AirAmerica the other morning where Cindy said that if she were, don't you think she would've cleaned herself up a little more?

    Regards to you, Mike,

Neo-Nazi groups are about as far from liberal as you can get. They're at the opposite (far right) extreme. They'd be more comfortable with the Patriot Act and Bush's tactics to take away our freedom and create a permanent war.
