And Al Sharpton professes to be a Christian. It is not right to show the kind of hatred towards your Brother in Christ that is so obviously evident on this thread. Especially by calling him a lewd name.

Neo-Nazi groups are about as far from liberal as you can get. They're at the opposite (far right) extreme. They'd be more comfortable with the Patriot Act and Bush's tactics to take away our freedom and create a permanent war. </font>
Much like the extremists on the far right in the CP, they have moved so far right that they have joined hands with the looney left.

So does John Shelby Spong and Tariq Azziz. I don't buy that either.

I get it now. I haven't really read that thread. Bush is a universalist, and not much better in theology than John Shelby Spong. But, he is a good president, which is why I am glad he is not my pastor.

Likely he's looking for a cut of her future book deals; an overriding reason she began her dance in the first place.

Some that are members of the Neo-Nazi Website who have gone down to be with Cindy Sheehan. Last year, I saw several of them supporting Peroutka. I posted a link to their website on the first page. Check it out.

Oh, okay. You're talking about a fringe group, like other fringe groups, that throw their support behind various candidates, including major party candidates.

Yep. But, if you read what they have to say, you will find that a lot of what they have to say was being repeated by Peroutka and other isolationists in the CP last year, and isolationists in the Republican Party and America First organization back during WW2. It is almost astonishing how much the extremists agree with Peroutka with their isolationist foreign policy which naturally lends itself to the anti-war position being put forth by Moore, Sheehan and others.

That's one reason I'm cautious of getting involved with the Constitution Party. I like much of what's on their platform but I'm concerned about a few items and very concerned about some of their supporters. However, I find radicals in every political affliation so I don't want to judge the whole by a few. It's something I intend to explore over the coming years before the next major election.

I don't think that isolationism would work in today's work(edit: I meant "world"). Other than that position, I think the Constitution Party is spot on.

    Dragoon,

You are correct that there are extremists in every party and organization. The difference, in my mind, is that not every party embraces the extremist views of isolationism as does the CP. I, too, like some of their platform, and would agree with some of their ideas. However, their isolationism and anti-war pacifism would keep me from ever voting for them.

It's not hatred that earns them the title given. It's purely an observation of their conduct. By their own words and deeds they spread hatred and sell themselves for the attention it gets them in the media. We are right to call that conduct as it is.

Never the less, I do respect your decision to ban the specific term used. Someone has to be the moderator and call those shots even when many of us do not agree.

Here's a name familiar to some that is behind Cindy all the way:

    Lisa Fithian

    http://www.nationalreview.com/york/york200508290901.asp

    Cindy Sheehan’s Radical Strategist
Have you heard of Lisa Fithian? A veteran of the Seattle WTO riots and scores of other protests, she’s been with Sheehan from the start.

    SNIP

Although she has received virtually no attention from reporters covering Sheehan, Fithian has been part of the Crawford protest from the very beginning. In a telephone interview with National Review Online on Sunday, she explained that she was with Sheehan in Dallas at a meeting of the antiwar group Veterans for Peace during the first days of August when the decision was made for Sheehan to go to the president's ranch. On August 6, when Sheehan went to Crawford — in a bus with the words "Impeachment Tour" emblazoned on the side — Fithian went along. "I came the first day and helped her [Sheehan] set up the initial encampment," Fithian said. With the exception of one brief absence, she has been there ever since.

    (emphasis mine)

Sharpton is there for photo ops. Fithian, it appears, is running the show.
    </font>
My bad, as I actually meant to say a political leftist like Hillary or Chuck Schummer, Kennedy, etc. the usual suspects in a Presidential mugging.
