I can imagine it now... The Rapture happens, we all, go to Heaven at the same time... (well most of us!!! lol... just jokin.. no hate mail)
We join hands and praise God... we have put aside our differences and amazingly, everyone says the same thing....

"You know, tinytim was always right!" :tonofbricks: Ouch! Who threw that brick....

or, maybe you'll look around and say.... "Hey, wait a minute, how did he get here?"

But seriously... we will all be praising God...

(Unless you are posttrib... then you will be there 7 yrs later)
:tonofbricks: There's those stupid bricks again.

I noticed Tinytim edited his post.

Through the magic of technology, I was able to see what he edited.

He had started a list of names of nominees to run the BB after the Rapture. :applause:

    :tonofbricks:
Ow! Where did those bricks come from?

It's an old tradition passed down to us from the Apostles.

    Acts 15
    39 And the contention was so sharp between them, that they departed asunder one from the other: and so Barnabas took Mark, and sailed unto Cyprus;
40 And Paul chose Silas, and departed, being recommended by the brethren unto the grace of God.

    Hence the out-of context quote...

"I would not have you, ignorant brethren..."

I don't find this board hostile. Sure, there is some heated debates, and sometimes it gets out of line, but the Mods generally do a good job of cleaning things up.

About the only thing I don't like is when you're in a thread and there are several of you debating something, and then out of the blue, someone will slam one side of the other, without ever joining in the debate. In my opinion, if people aren't going to join the debate, then they should keep they quick wit comments to themselves.

Other than that, I like the BB. I get along to most all, and even those that I have banged my head against a wall with, I still very much consider them my brothers and sisters...

Oh that's right, I fought with my real brother and sisters, so this IS just like family! :)

Now that's the funniest thing I've read on the BB in a long time!

That proves it... Baptist's can trace their lineage back to the first church..

Don't forget about Paul getting in Peter's face!
Can you imagine if BB had existed back then... imagine the discussions between Paul and Peter....Paul and James...
Matthew (a government guy), and Judas the zelot.

Same situation here--BB is tame compared to my first home.

You haven't been to a couple of boards that I know of. We're positively cum-bah-yah by comparison.

How about Peter pulling God to a corner, telling Him to shut up because He doesn't know what He's talking about ?
Or words to that effect ?

Unfortunatley that doesn't always work :(

Sometimes just in name only :)

Sure there will, but that doesn't mean that one has the right to be disrespectful or to blatantly lie about another, etc. And I have seen this sort of thing go on time after time. And most of the time it is "allowed" to go on and on and that's what is disappointing.

    Absolutely!

Absolutely agree once again. But what we shouldn't do is excuse the poor behavior, and continue to allow to just be swept under the rug, because it is a debate forum.

I actually have to say that I really like this board because of the freedom to post. But it's the lack of civility recently that has moved me more from a poster to a lurker.

If this is so common place surely you can link a moderator to some examples.

Allowed to go on and on?

Are you using the "Report post" button?

I am opposed to unchristian behaviour. I think it is a shame on the body of Christ. You apparently think such is rampant here. If you want to help clean things up you should report the posts, or PM links to the modertors so that something can be done about it.

Or it could be those that are stuck in the south where it is 70-some degrees with Christmas lights up :) But we are getting a small taste this week. But it's ice instead of snow :(

They almost never respond directly to you. And a lot goes on behind the scenes we don't know about too I'm sure.
