    J. Jump, it was nicely 70 degrees here until about 7:30 last night when the bottom suddenly dropped out of the temps. It has been about 35 all day today. At least the ice missed us. I miss yesterday. :( :D

    - It has been 70 here and it is cold here today.

    - I have reported posts and have never been responded to directly, but have seen the results of my reports.

    - I am NOT hostile! *stomp* So there! ;)

    "A" report equates with inaction?

All posts are carefully considered by the moderators of the forum. Some are even discussed in the moderator forum. Not every report will be acted on, and very few will get a response, but EVERY report is considered.

    Brother Bob,

No matter how I read this post, I gotta say: "I am praying for you."

Agreed, or maybe really aren't in the Word or attend church regularly.

Why is that? I mean one would think that it is just common courtesy to acknowledge someone. And I sure there is a lot that the common poster will never see.

Not at all. I was merely relating my situation. If I report something and I'm not even going to get an acknowledgment of receipt or anything, then I figure it's not worth my time.

I equate inaction because I see "rules" violations on this board several times a day, but those that are violating the rules are still posting every day. That to me equates inaction.

EDIT: I would like to rephrase that statement a bit . . . I don't know if they are direct rules violations per se, as I am not "that" familiar with the rules. However, I see some HORRIBLE attitudes being displayed, and that are allowed to continue and I equate that as inaction.

Well it's not my site so if moderators don't want to share what the results are with the one that filed that is certainly their right, however, again I think that it would just be common courtesy to at least acknowledge that one has received the report and that they are looking it over.

And if something is not done about the report it would be nice to know why they thought the report was out of line or in no need of action.

Honestly, many times all a moderator can do with a report is reply with a form letter: "Thank you for your concern in reporting this post."

It would not be right if we sided with one poster in such exchanges - other than what we do publicly - because it could well lead to more strife. I will only discuss such things - most of the time - with other moderators. That keeps us from appearing to take sides and having our replies used as proof of what "side" we're on.

However, I admit it might be a good idea to provide some type of reply - though it may not say much - just so posters know we are listening and considering their opinions.

Nope . . . just once. How 'bout you?

That is certainly better than no reply at all. At least one knows that the report was received.

    Thank you for your consideration!

About 5, I guess maybe 7. Never filed one against you though, I have to say.

So, you filed once and never got a reply. I don't either but it don't bother me.

Thanks :) While we may not agree theologically our discussions have remained civil as far as I can remember. I have always enjoyed posting with you. So my one and only was not in reference to any of our discussions

Time for this thread to close--primarily because this is a debate forum, and "complaints" is not a subject suitable for debate.
