Amen_Corner, thank you for your sane post. I just came back to the board after a couple of days away. I just shook my head read as I read through this thread.

I stand with one of my original posts about the Passion. I went to see it. I came home and rededicated my life to Christ. I have not been able to pray the same since seeing the movie. I love Jesus more than ever before after seeing the movie. The emotional hype is worn off. What is have now is the real stuff. It is awesome. I don't want to turn back. Thank you, Mel Gibson, warts and all. (By the way, I have more than few "warts"! Which is us doesn't...thanks Diane for pointing that out!)
