perhaps my impression's wrong, but the rage against the Gentiles in Israel seems to range fr advocating perpetuating their collective punishment to bombing them into submission (or death).

interestingly, not all Jews share that "Christian" sentiment. some of them r affected by OT passages against the Zionist conviction of re-creating a nation thru human effort, believing instead that that's the sole domain of the Messiah: http://www.jewsagainstzionism.com/scriptures/index.cfm

    [IMG][IMG][IMG]

all other attempts r unauthorised n to be rejected.

i wonder if Bible believers currently swept along w Zionism wld modify their stance when they consider the scriptures. perhaps they might even renew a singular focus on the Gt Commission!

I was trying to sarcastically point out a pet peeve of mine--that posts without proper grammar/spelling/formatting are difficult to read.

Unfortunately, FSIH had no problem reading it, and will probably continue "text messaging" his posts.

    Oh well, I tried.

    Here's my post, in English:

For me, it's not a preoccupation with Zionism; rather, it is an understanding that the Israeli state is the only friendly power to our US interests (edit: over there).

It's rather annoying to have to read stuff without proper formatting. Try English.

Text messaging should be kept off of forums, especially when there is a wide age span of the members. I have always believed, and still do, that intelligent people showcase their intelligence and command of the English language by creating sentences that other people can easily read without having to decipher some secret code. I would like to believe BB members are an intelligent lot.

with due respect, i havta disagree. the "text messaging" was evidently eminently legible n intelligible, judging by the variety of response. in my case its use of fewer keystrokes helps reduce the physical strain on my wrist as well.

i think it wld be a better reflection of intelligence if we cld all return to the topic, like, finally.

I'm sorry you have pain in your wrist. I had carpal tunnel surgery last year, but never did resort to typing in text messages, even right before the surgery. So, yes, we can get back on topic.

For many of us, we just don't see the 1950s return to Israel to the land of Palestine as what the Bible talked about but a humanly-wrought political thing.

n that's why i think those OT verses r worth considering. they basically point out that the REAL regathering of Israel n reestablishment of David's tent/throne n rebuilding of the Temple will be something YWHW does Himself, without human will/assistance/self-help.

1948 n the following n ongoing Aliyah r anything but, won't u say? as ACADEMIC sez, "a humanly-wrought political thing."

as such, some Chr Zionists (i forget which ones, but possibly Arnold Fruchtenbaum) r forced to posit a Double regathering, which sees little support in either the OT or NT. the picture we seem to see in both Testaments is that of a single cataclysmic Return of Christ in Triumph to save "all Israel" n set up His throne of 1,000 yrs in Jerusalem. then again, that's fr my double-Pre viewpt.

(Thx for ur understanding, but this wrist of mine's been diagnosed as having a False carpal tunnel syndrome. interestingly, altho i might be a poor communicator, i'm at least a gt malingerer!)

Yes, and so the human-wrought actions continue right along.

Yes, exactly! Christian Zionism is a highly successfull sidetracking strategy of Satan himself to decieve believers into building a false earthly kingdom rather than doing what Jesus actually commanded us to do until He comes to build His heavenly kingdom, the Great Commission (please spare us the horse poop that tries to equate Zionism with cross-cultural missionary activity.).

If I may reluctantly give the devil his due, Christian Zionism is a truly brilliant strategy, especially since any criticism of the position has an automatic cut-off switch for Christian Zionists - "anti-semitism" as a visceral reaction precludes sane thought.

Christian Zionists: you have been deceived by Satan. He is elated. He has you right where he wants you to be: gleefully sidetracked from what would actually be onslaughts against his kingdom. He has you thinking you are doing something oh so good to "help God," when in reality you are devoting your life to adding further human effort to a human cause.

    I'm not a Christian Zionist.

I simply feel that having Israel as a nation where it is is a huge protection for us.

Israel does not have a desire to eliminate us, simply because we exist. Several of its muslim neighbors are led by people who do.

It's more protectional than spiritual for me.

which is good, cos it's kinda like an oxymoron.

but Jonathan Pollard wasn't exactly sent by Saddam or some sheikh. ever heard of the Mossad?

why need the state of "Israel" when u can have YHWH Himself as a shield surrounding u (Ps. 3:3)?

Amen to that. I think that posts typed without anywhere near proper English, such as Forever settled in heaven's, should be deleted by the moderators.

It sets an extremely poor example for children or teenagers who read such posts.
