I think it's very probable that Christ will come back in my lifetime. It seems there are more natural disasters, more evil becoming acceptable, etc. I don't think God will let it continue much longer.

If we look at the resurrection of Christ, and the raising of the OT saints, we see the time lapse there, where the saints walked about before the ascension. It would be easy to see the connection and the picture here, realted with the rapture.

    To answer the OP:

It is highly probable, likely, and expected that our Lord will return during my lifetime, Paul thought the same of his lifetime.

I will say "yes" but it is ultimately in his timing of course.

I should have qualified my answer with "I believe I will". I can't say for certain "yes".

Was that not because there was still time prior to the destruction of the temple that if the Jews would have repented and accepted Christ as their Savior and King, that he would have returned?

There is no time period in history that other than now that resembles what Daniel describes as the last days. Wars, rumors of wars, knowledge increased, people moving too and fro. And so on....

So that would leave me to believe that Christ will return during my lifetime. I have told my friends since I was a young that I will not die from old age, Christ will return soon.

As a matter of fact, a friend that I haven't spoken to in quite some time ( 3 or 4 years) e-mailed me out of the blue asking me if I still thinnk the "end is near" and I asked him, "how much longer can this world go on?" Never got a response back.

Do you all think that when we are talking about physical signs, for instance, an increase in earthquakes, there are actually more, or do you think we just do a better job of detecting them?

Now, on the sign of people's love growing colder, people becoming more self centered, more arrogant and greedy, there is no doubt that it is vastly different than say in the 60s. When I was a teen, I worked in a small grocery, and the mindset of dealing with the public is vastly different. Back then, if a child misbehaved in a store, it was taken care of immediately. Now, the parents demand the store clerk clean up the spilled coke the kid just made a mess with.

One can see it in driving along the interstate. There is no courtesey. In parking lots. People get angry if they have to wait longer than two minutes at a drive inn of McDonalds so their fat kids can munch on another happy meal.

If one holds a door open for someone at a store, they walk right through without a word. There was a time when cursing would cease if a woman walked near. Now, not only do they continue to curse, if you say something, you better be ready to defend your life.

This is forty short years. The signs are everywhere.

I voted yes. I believe Christ will come to get His own during my lifetime. I could be wrong. I've been wrong once before, that one time that I though I was wrong but I wasn't, but it was wrong for me to think I was wrong. If I'm wrong about Him coming in my lifetime, that'll still be OK. Either all together or all by myself, I'm going to be with Jesus one day.

My prayer is that Christ would come today, right now. I mentioned that in church one day, and one lady came almost in tears and told me not to say that again. She said her son wasn't saved. I told her to tell her son about Jesus "today" because I'm still going to pray that He comes soon.

Would you say that there is a great falling away in the church today?

What comes next? Is the the Anti-Christ alive now, walking the earth? Is it Bill Clinton?
