With the trial portion at its end and the jury ready to take over, I couldn't help but notice that the city and state are gearing up to not only prevent riots, but a plan to take quick action if riots do break out!!

So, where do you stand as a believer, when it comes to this trial, the verdict, and possible riots?

I fear that there will be some form of disturbances either way, either celebratory or in protest.

Since my wife and I live in a semi-urban area where we are the minority with common gang activity (Domino's won't deliver to our area after 9pm because their people keep getting mugged!), we will be on heightened alert for a few days after the verdict is read. Hopefully the disturbances, if they materialize, won't reach all the way up here to Maryland.

As for the trial. It was a total farce. This should have never come to court, there is no evidence and no case against Zimmerman. The prosecution all but made the defense's case for them! I work with a gentleman who has a degree in criminal justice. His exact words this afternoon where, "This case makes me ashamed; This is what our justice system has become."

I believe we as citizens accept the outcome of the trial, move on, without burning down other people's property and taking innocent lives.

If Zimmerman is acquitted, which I doubt will happen, I imagine there will be riots. It seems that much of the black community gets a kick out of rioting and burning down things when they don't get their way, like a spoiled child. However, like an ignorant child they usually burn down their own neighborhoods, so there is an up side.

Okay, I think he will be found "not guilty" of the most serious count, however...

He could have prevented this from happening in the first place by following sensible concealed carry rules that would have prevented that situation from escalating. This is only my opinion. I think he is guilty of very bad judgement in the events leading up to the shooting, but once the situation occurred, I believe he believed himself to be in great danger, and that he thought he had to shoot to save himself.

Actually, he exercised more restraint than I would have, taking a severe beating before he pulled the trigger. In hindsight, had he not taken the beating, the truth of Martin's character and criminality would never have come out.

Trayvon wouldn't have gotten within an arm's reach before I put two in his chest.

Sadly, I witnessed this time and time again in the 1960's (I'm older than most of you). The mindset of "the man is oppressing us" has been pushed on generations of Blacks. They are conditioned, like Pavlov's training, to respond.

Unlike ever other minority group, their negative response to such outcome (and I pray that the innocent finds justice) is to use it as an excuse to loot and seek personal gain. Nothing to do with a trial or race, simply an excuse for lawless behavior.

Justice and truth are never the issue; it is an ingrained "we deserve more" mentality of the welfare state that will surface. A dear Black Baptist brother and I had coffee the other day and he lamented that the action will probably be in MANY Black-majority communities, not just Sanford, FL. We prayed together about this.

Worse? If a jury, fearing such rioting, votes to wrongfully convict. You will see another "gloat fest" like when OJ killed his wife and got away with it (though his true colors came out in subsequent evil). Mob mentality.

I agree. But I do believe there will be some sort of disturbances if he's not found guilty.

Don't pay him any mind kyredneck. Robert proudly admits to calling Blacks the "N" word quite often. He should probably be the poster boy for "Christian love".

I would rather they burn down their own neighborhood rather than mine. Perhaps nothing will be burnt.

The good news is that they usually do stick to burning down their own neighborhoods.

The bad news is that, once they've burnt down their neighborhoods, the government comes in and spends our tax dollars to rebuild the neighborhood and create social programs to tell them it's not their fault that they burnt down their own neighborhood.

Many years ago, somebody came to me for parenting advice. They said that their child demanded they buy him an outrageously expensive pair of shoes that all the other kids were wearing.

When the parent told him no, he took a knife and cuts his shoes to shreds, thinking the parent would then have no choice but to buy him the expensive shoes.

My answer was to explain that she said no, and that the boy took it upon himself to destroy his shoes even after he had been told no.

I told her she should let him go to school in the torn up shoes for a week, then go buy him a cheap pair of shoes. Then, offer to help him find ways to earn some money to buy the shoes he wants.

This is what we need to tell them: you burnt down your own neighborhood. Either you find a way to fix it or you can live in the ashes.

Will Riots Break Out if Zimmerman is Innocent?

Yep. Based on the mentality and reasoning displayed by some in other threads relating to the trial, I wonder if given the opportunity they wouldn't participate.

And that decision would haunt you for the rest of your life!! No idea of the trauma it would cause you to know you just took the life of a human being for whom the Lord Jesus died for:type: Is it the spirit of Cain that tells you to "put two" inside the human?? Or the spirit of Christ?? No remorse for putting "two" in his chest??

We continue to reap what we have sowed regarding exploitation of the masses. We did it to the Africans, Amerinds and Chinese coolies, etal

Love of money is still the root of all evil.:tonofbricks:

We need to repent with sackcloth and ashes.

Why do we still have black churches and white churches?:BangHead:

Human kind is racist by nature--it is part of our depravity.

Only Jesus can make it right.

    Pray for peaceful demonstrations.:laugh::laugh:

    Even so, come Lord Jesus.
