Do you work with youth (aged 12 to 21) and if so, in what capacity?

Sorry, I have just messed up your poll. I chose "boys/girls club setting" because I am one of the leaders of our church's bible club for children, but I voted before I saw the age specification for the poll, and our club is for 5-11 year old children.

I'm the pastor, but i also make sure the youth know that i'm their pastor also. I teach their Wednesday night Bible study once a month, chaperone them on as many trips as possible and last year i attended camp with them...and plan to do it again next summer!

I have long given up any attempts at working with children or youth. A long time ago I volunteered in VBS a few times and let myself get dragged into helping with a few activities. But it didn't take very many of these things to show me it's just not my bag. But I suppose I was still of the mind that we can do virtually anything that "furthers the Kingdom", or I might even have thought in terms of "anything God calls me to do." Experience proved otherwise in that. Eventually I succombed to the right approach and the reasoning was simple: how could a guy like me, who couldn't relate well to youth when I was one myself, possibly do so as an adult?
