Thats my question - I am stuck between two here. I have been critical of US churches who adjust theri schudules around the Super Bowl...but this is the World Cup!!

Kick-off is at 7.00 and our Bible study starts at 7.30. What to do, what to do ;):)!!

I can't wait!! ESPN and ABC are going to carry all of the games in the US! Of course my loyalties are torn between the USA and Argenitna, both are in tough groups but anything can happen.

    !!Viva Argentina!!

Bible study at 6:00 game afterwards. The Super Bowl has nothing on the World Cup. This only happens once every four years.

I never thought I would say this, but I amhoping England will win, which would make N. Ireland the last team to beat them, therefore, making us the true World Champions!!:praise: (How's that for twisted logic).

I had a woman, my fellow elder's wife no less, query what would become of our Sun evening service if England reach the Final. To be honest I hadn't thought about it - i expect we will have church just the same!:saint:

Germany is only up 2-1 at the half, but apparently are dominating the game. Costa Rica only has had one shot on goal? I tracking it on my ESPN Mobile phone; the best phone I have ever had...

    USA USA USA!!!

I had that dilemma in the last World Cup where it looked for a while like the US would play Ireland.

I would have supported the US because thats everyone here expects you to support your "home" country.

Since Ireland did not qualify and there are so many Polish immigrants Ireland has "adopyed" poland.

I hope that doesn't happen, it would be difficult, but I would have to go for the US. But I have doubts that that the US can get past the second round where they will possibly play Brazil.

Some feel the Ecuador is an underestimated team. They have done well in their conferance that is top heavy with Brazil and Argentina.

I do love with S.A teams beat European teams.

Ecuador wins! What happened to Poland? You need to get shots on goal if you want to win and they just could not do it until the very end.
