I am not a big Crouch fan either, but his height sure helped in that situation.

I'm warming to him:laugh: Some are criticising this lacklustre victory - but I think England will ultimately raise their game - now that Rooney is back they have a much improved strike force, and IMHO the best is yet to come.

They certainly are looking better I think than the first game. Hopefully they will improve.

Argentina plays a tough match today. Hopefully they will win and erase that embarrasing exit in the group stage of the last World Cup.

Wow! I just went over to the FIFA WC site and low and behold Argentina is already up 1 nil! The goal came in the 6th min. off the foot of Maxi Rodriguez.

    !Viva Argentina!

I don't have cable, but I can watch the "matchcast" on the web- it gives a realtime commnetary and later I can watch all the video highlights.

From what I can tell it sounds as if Argentina is dominating and looking like a real contender once again.

    Argentina 6
    Serbia/Montenegro 0

What a preformance! Argentina will win the cup if they play every game like that.

    !Viva Argentina! Vamos Vamos!!!

I'd love to see one of the Latin American teams take the cup. And I'm not ruling out a big African upset in the standings.

I would too except for Brazil. Cote de Ivoire lost today so there is one African nation that will not advance.

Wow - Ghana made the Czechs look REALLY bad, and the Czechs beat the US 3-0.

    Not looking good folks.

What a great game! Hats of to Ghana, this was a big upset considering the Czechs were ranked #2 in the world (personally I think they were over ranked). What makes this even sweeter is that now the US has a shot at advancing. If they beat Italy today, this group will have all four teams with 3 pts.

    This is a beautiful game!

It surely is that - the Ghanans looked amazing and it could have been 5-6 to nil.

Regardless of today's match, the US will not be eliminated now.

The US were the winners in tonight's game despite the 1-1 scoreline! They played better all round. The ref should have never disallowed their goal.

It was a good game, but it should have been 2-1 to the US.

    A 1-1 draw boring?

    Not in this case

Nine man USA against ten man Italy with a disallowed goal that should never have been disallowed.

Way to go USA - All we need is for Italy to beat the Czechs and us to beat Ghana and we are through

My prediction of 2-1 US was close, but I think it is a longshot to advance now. We have to beat not draw against Ghana while Italy has to beat the Czechs. Italy is a typical boring, conservative European team and since all they need is a draw to win the group I don't see them even playing to win. I hope I am wrong....
