Let's compare the death of a lion to the an improperly parked vehicle Rolf. Stop minimizing dead lions by deflecting the story with improperly parked news vehicles. The dead lion is the story here and you are trivializing it. You are only allowed to care about one thing at a time. From here on out every story ever must be weighed against planned parenthood for publication. That is the new measuring stick.

I sure feel sorry for all the zebras, impalas, or yaks that now won't have the honor of dying in Cecil's jaws & claws, it will have to settle for an ordinary lion, or cheetah, or
    crocodile.

    Following are some stories about the disposal of slaughtered unborn children. {Reference: http://clinicquotes.com/category/articles/what-to-do-with-the-bodies/} I have taken the liberty of expanding one of the stories. {Reference:http://clinicquotes.com/the-street-of-dead-babies/}

And people get excited about a dead animal!

Mugawbe eats elephant and lion, maybe he could pack up Cecil's remains for dinner tomorrow night.

Any ESL issues aside, I think you got something here - Simba, Scar, cartoon lions with human emotions and voices. OTOH, mills like PP go out of their way to make you think the unborn is just a blob of cells and tissue, a "fetus". Cecil even had a human's name.

Admittedly, I hope that your smiley guy indicates satire. Otherwise, I am not sure how to respond. It has been a very long day, and I fear that I could not post an intelligent rebuttal. I need to go to bed.

One more point. If I told you that leaving bait for a lion is immoral I would have to tell you fishing with a worm or any other type of bait is also immoral.

    Bro. ITL,

I'm not "blaming the victim," but here's an example of how a legally responsible woman "put herself in a position to be raped" that occurred only about a year or so right here in Nashville:

This 19-YO woman attended a party with some men with which she had little familiarity. She was distracted when a first-team college football player (I'll call him "Mr. Jock") entered the room and began talking to her.

The woman didn't know how popular the man was on campus, but she did know that he was very popular with the college athletic staff.

She was on an athletic scholarship for the college's womens' basketball team. Her court performance was marginal, but with some additional coaching, she could probably improve her game at least to the point of her not being dropped from the team and thus losing her scholarship.

Maybe this "Mr. Jock" could pull some strings for her if she became good friends with him. She edged up closer to him and began loosening up with him, far more than she knew she should, but, she figured, "What the heck, if 'Mr. Jock' can help me stay on the team--and thus here at this prestigious school--It'll be worth it to me."

While this was happening, one of "Mr. Jock's" friends slipped a powerful concoction of date rape drugs in her drink. After about 10 mins. she was almost totally unconscious.

"Mr. Jock's" friends took the 19-YO woman to his private room in the campus' Athletic Dorm." Minutes later "Mr. Jock," along with 2-3 of his friends--one with a video camera to film the "event"--showed up in his room and begun raping the nearly comatose woman.

After he had his way with her, & viewed the video of his conquest, the men decided it'd be best to take the victim back to her own dorm to cover the crime they committed.

They drove her back across the darkened campus, & dumped her still unconscious body in the hallway next to her locked room.

It wasn't til dawn when 1 of her dormmates noticed her almost lifeless body right by her room's door.

The woman's friend called the campus 911 numbers.

The campus police & medical unit rushed her to the campus medical center. [This campus has a world-renowned teaching/research medical center.]

Some hours later, she regained consciousness.

Based on what she was able to recall, the campus police arrested the 4 men who committed the crime.

Each man is being separately tried for their cruel act. "Mr. Jock's" first-rate defense team have managed to delay his trial for months based on technicalities. That's the latest the local media is telling us.

Speculation is that "Mr. Jock" may not be tried for another 4-5 months, and a "change of venue" may delay his trial for several more months.

So, a woman who's legally classified as an adult, & from a background from which she "should have known better" was raped at a prestigious college right here in Nashville.

Was she totally to blame for allowing this rape from which she probably will never fully recover? No, not totally. There were several accomplices that should be tried and imprisoned to the fullest extent of the law.

Will their imprisonments help this young woman completely recover from the trauma she had to experience from this cruel act?

Probably not, especially after she'll be called to court to testify at least 4, maybe more, times against these 4 criminals over the next couple years.

This is an "example of how a legally-responsible woman allowed herself to be put into a position that caused her to be raped."

    Tragic?

Of course it is, but it happened right here in Nashville, TN's capital city, whose exec. & legis. branches are controlled by conservative--basically pro-life people.

Many of them actively supported last year's overwhelmingly popular, strongly pro-life referendum which was approved by a huge landslide vote to establish an Amendment 2 to our state constitution.

This amendment establishes a very strict set of criteria for any abortion clinic that wishes to operate within the Volunteer State's borders.

Our state constitution now calls for any abortion clinic to be supervised by a state-licensed physician who is trained and board-certified in pediatric surgery. He not only must be in personal attendance for "the procedure," but also have hospital admitting rights at the nearest hospital to the "clinic," in case "something goes wrong that can't be dealt with at his 'clinic.'"

Moreover, the "clinic" must maintain hospital-approved (and inspected) standards of sanitization of every sq. in. of the "clinic's medical operating area."

All medical personnel must be kept current and certified with all relevant medical surgical practices and procedures before they can "operate" on the fetus.

Most abortion clinics here in TN can't afford the higher operating costs it takes to conform to the new state rules. They've protested to the TN State Supreme Court, but with no success. TN's Supreme Court is technically non-partisan, but so far they've told the "clinics" that Amendment 2 is LAW!

You abortion "providers had your chance last Nov. (and, believe me, PP & other "pro-choice" groups throughout the US pumped several million $$$ last year to defeat the Amend. 2 referendum!), and you LOST!"

The "abortion providers" were told by the court to either come up to the new state standards, or find some other state that'll let you "operate"!

At least for now, TN's pro-life movement is strong, but eventually this amendment will be reviewed by the SCOTUS. No telling what the SCOTUS will tell TN.

Well, they didn't leave bait for the lion. They mounted a dead animal on a vehicle then drove that vehicle near the lion so that he started following the vehicle. They led the lion out of the game preserve so it could be "legally" killed.

How do you know this is what she was thinking? How do you know she was "loosening up with him"? And even if she was that doesn't mean she would have ended up having s#x with him.

Yes, she was totally asking for it. :tonofbricks:

She may have been flirting with Mr. Jock but in no way does that mean she deserved to be drugged and raped.

My information came from the woman's own later admissions that she herself (accompanied by her lawyer) and were subsequently aired by one of the local TV stations...I think it might have been the local NBC affiliate, but since it was over a year ago, it could have been either the local CBS or ABC affiliate. My memory at my age sometimes fails me.

She was in a nearly-unconscious state at the time of the rape, but since she was of legally-responsible age (19) seems to me that her priorities got misplaced.

She wasn't a 13- or 14-YO child who'd never been out with boys at a non-school sanctioned function where something stronger than iced tea was offered.

She knew what she was about to do before she did it. Maybe she didn't know exactly what the tragic outcome would be, but she knew there was a potential of something like this happening.

If she was intelligent enough to secure a scholarship from a highly-selective college as she did, one would think that she would have enough sense to be careful about selecting who her close friends ought to be.

Yes, it's tragic....I'm sure that if she were given the option to do again what she did that night, she'd probably not chose to do what she did do that night....At least I'd hope she wouldn't.

My point is this: She was old enough to know better, but she chose to cast caution to the wind. She knew better, but thought she could get away without being harmed.

She wasn't a "little girl who needed to have her mommy or daddy hold her hand to cross the street to get to that drinking party."

At some point we have to draw the line and say, "You're a big girl now....You're old enough to make you own decisions....Mommy and Daddy will be here to help you to some extent, but ultimately the choice is yours."

It was her own choice....It wasn't a good choice by any means, but it was her choice to go to that drinking party. It was her choice to allow herself to be put in a very compromising situation. Since she made that choice--against her own better judgment--who should we ultimately blame for the tragic outcome?

Do we blame the people who owned the place where the drinking party occurred? Do we blame the company that made the drink she took that night? Do we blame the college for allowing her to attend that party? Do we blame college housing, or its athletic staff for having a football team on which "Mr. Jock" played or a woman's basketball team on which she played? Is that college housing to blame for having an athletic dorm in which the rape took place?

That'd be stupid to blame any of the above, wouldn't it?

So, who then was responsible for her actions?

Maybe it should be Nashville. After all if Nashville didn't exist, maybe that college wouldn't be here.

    That's a really good scapegoat, isn't it?

Or maybe it's ME? I live in Nashville. I pay taxes to allow the store from which that video camera and its equipment was purchased to exist, to allow the streets on which the college campus stands. Yeah, it's me whose responsible for her being raped, isn't it?

OTOH, maybe we can blame the Nashville Electric Service who supplies electricity to both the college campus and the building where the drinking party took place....After all if that building where the party took place had no electricity, maybe that party wouldn't have taken place....so yeah, it's NES's' fault.

Yes, ITL, there's a whole lot of guilty people we could blame....Are you willing to take all of us (including me, don't forget) to court and pay all the court costs when it throws all of us out because of your frivolous law suits? Well, are you?

    Didn't think so.

I didn't have to speculate what she was thinking. She herself publicly admitted on TV what she was thinking. She publicly admitted that she was loosening up to "Mr. Jock." She publicly admitted to the fact that she could ultimately could have been raped.

So don't go putting words in my mouth....Words you KNOW I've NEVER spoken!

If I weren't a Christian, I could just as easy sue you for public defamation of character, my friend.

Fortunately, I consider you to be my brother in Christ, and in my book (namely I Cor. 6), brothers ought not to sue each other in court.

I'm willing to let bygones be bygones and bury the hatchet over the way you've publicly disrespected me.

I've got better things to do than fret over your unfounded misrepresentations of me here on BB.

I'm willing to put away "childish things" (I Cor. 13:11). Are you? If so, then let's be friends and call off these childish accusations which you KNOW have no basis in fact.

    Okay?

I am curious? What does the gang rape of an unconscious woman have to do with the pro-life movement in Tennessee or the conservative--basically pro-life people in Nashville?

I'm merely pointing out that a rape (gang rape or otherwise) can happen anywhere, even within a society that basically is one that would disapprove of abortion on demand.

Isn't the comparison between what happened to a dead lion and PP's continuous genocide of the unborn the reason for the OP?

And, having said all that I have, I am no longer going to post any more on this thread. I've already said all that I'm going to say about this thread's OP. I'm too busy to waste any more of my time defending my right to post what I've posted to anyone who comes out of the clear blue sky and demands that I answer every one of their silly demands.

Like it or not, you've read all that I'm going to post on this thread. If it were up to me, I'd say it's high time this thread be closed and locked.

    Are you listening BB administrators/moderators?

ITL, I'm not sure we'll get this back on topic after the rape thing, but I appreciate your answers. This seems like more the responsibility of the outfitters. Anyway, I'll bow out and the let topic go off course.

This is a debate forum. People are going to want to see some proof of the claims that are made here. It's the nature of the board.

I had no idea this woman had publicly admitted to anything. I don't know why you took offense at my asking you "how do you know that?" but I sure am shaking my head at why my question lit the blue touch paper and prompted you to type:

If I offended you, I'm sorry. I didn't intend to.

Yes, it is the outfitters that actually broke the law, but it's likely the dentist was in on the idea and approved of it.

The leader of the Center for Medical Progress, the organisation exposing Planned Parenthood, told CNN “New Day” this morning that a biomedical company is trying to silence CMP because they are “very scared” of footage coming out that will prove babies were born alive before being “aborted” and having tissue and organs harvested.

California based StemExpress, a company closely allied with Planned Parenthood that provides fetal tissue to researchers, has managed to convince a Superior Court judge to issue a temporary restraining order against CMP.

The order bars the undercover journalists from releasing any more footage of StemExpress officials.

David Daleiden explained why he believes StemExpress is taking such hefty action:
