Jesus said the world hated Him, and because of it they(the world) would hate us(christians) too.
Why does the world hate Jesus?
And do they hate us, because we are so much like Him, or that we strive to be like Him, which is exactly what they aren't? That we try and follow His way, even though sometimes we mess it up? While they follow what seems right in their own eyes.
Jesus called sin sin. He didn't make excuses for it.
Jesus taught us that we are to be different then the world.
Our view of the world is not to be what the world's view is.
We sometimes, as we can see with all the discussions here have different views as to what and how something is biblical. I am pretty sure since the world view is a direct opposite of the bible view(after all the world isn't going to follow God's world, they wrestle against, will take any view that is as far from God's word as is possible), so is it safe to say that if our biblical views agree with the people who hate Jesus and hate those who follow Him, then our views aren't biblical at all? If your thoughts on the bible fit right in with the world, then you probably aren’t following Jesus.
The world mocks and hates Jesus, it should be no surprise when they maock and hate us too.

    Amen!!

It would be a matter of some discomfort, and a time for repentence, if I found myself agreeing more with the world than I did with His Word.

    2 Co. 4:
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

    A servant of Christ,
    Drew
