No, if you say the dead in sin cannot hear then how can God command them? Don't you have an answer for that?

He has done that: "Be ye perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect."

I can only tell you what scripture says and that is that He come not to call the righteous but the sinners to repentance.

Of course it is still a command. You argue like my children. They are responsible for hearing what I tell them, and if they do not hear then they are still held responsible.

The lost man is responsible for not doing that which he is unable to do, because it is his own fault that he is unable to do it.

P.S. - My children also believe that if they forgot then it was not a command. I sure hope you do not go that far. :tongue3:

Scripture also says that those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Do you agree with that scripture?

I didn't say anything about hearing and then forget as your children and the rest is hogwash, if they did not hear God then He did not command them.

If you were a General in the Army and sat in your tent and commanded your soldiers to march but they were out on the battle field then would it be a command, I think not.

Are you telling me you would punish your child for doing something you commanded him not to do even though your child was asleep when you made the command, come on.

Did you notice the question mark bro bob? It means one is asking a question not a statement. Of course I belive in glorification. Do you only ask questions or do you answer them?

The part about forgetting was a joke. That's why there was a smiley.

The rest was not. Read what Paul told the Ephesians about the Gentiles:
Obviously they haven't heard God's command to repent since they are lost because of their ignorance. So since they haven't disobeyed God, according to your reasoning, why are they in danger of Hell?

It matters not what I tell you.... what matters is what the bible tells us. I told you to ask Isaiah. I think you know the biblical reference, but if you do not truly know it is Isaiah 6:9

This is your theory, so you will have to tell me. But be careful, because if you say they rejected God's command and then became ignorant of God's command then you are back to the "I forgot" defense.

    Isaiah 6:9
9: And he said, Go, and tell this people, Hear ye indeed

Well they did hear but this is silly to use this as a command from God to all men to repent.

You fellows usually do better than this. I think you a little off your mark tonight.
