Once more, you have not shown that it is "wrong for women to have outside jobs."

Rebellion against what? Again, show us using the Bible that it is "wrong for women to have outside jobs." The Passages you have quoted do not even address the issue of women working.

    Tonya R,

is it ever acceptable for a woman to leave the home? Is she not allowed to go to the grocery store, doctor, church, or any other outside location? Since the passage you quoted didn't specifically mention outside employment, is it to be taken that a woman may never set foot outside the residence?

    Just wondering...

So true, ralb, I think we all cherish the time that we spend with our children. [IMG] And now I have grandchildren to love. [IMG]

    Good question, Glory Bound [IMG]

Lets see what ideal we can gain from the good Book:

    1 Timothy 5:14
I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
    </font>[/QUOTE]But Paul also wrote:

    1 Corinthians 7: 8-9,39-40
8 But I say to the unmarried and to widows that it is good for them if they remain even as I.
9 But if they do not have self-control, let them marry; for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.
39 A wife is bound as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord.
40 But in my opinion she is happier if she remains as she is; and I think that I also have the Spirit of God.

So if a person is single and can excercise self control, then it's ok for them to stay single.
