Ken, did you see this paragraph in that article you linked? It alleges she named two of her children after witches and didn't block rights for civil union (gay couples). Hard to believe the evangelical crowd is so supportive of a person with these views...

Here we go again. It all depends what you read. Piper and Willow are also towns in Alaska.

Well...I can't knock her for that even if true. I named the cat I got back in 1981, Angelique, after the witch character on the 1960s Gothic soap opera, "Dark Shadows", played by Lara Parker. :)

Didn't realize they were towns in Alaska. I bought the story they named them after witches...

Kind of like you referring to Obama and his supposed Muslim connection.

I guess things look different when it is the Republican candidate that is topic of discussion.

Palin naming her children Piper and Willow hardly point to witchcraft; this is the same kind of thing going on with Obama, and it is wrong on both sides of the aisle.

Exactly, 'cheap shots' are the ammunition of both sides.

Actually, I erred, Willow is a town in Alaska and Piper is, of course, a common means of transport.

Tony Piper is also a government official in Alaska who has some kind of connexion with a bill to reduce under age drinking.

Willow and Piper are also characters on 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer.'

Either is hardly the same as naming children after witches. This is a lot like the 'Hussein' comment from the other side.

I love politics, but I have never liked getting off of real issues and resorting to this level.

Irrelevant comments (maybe that will sound better than 'cheap shot' :)
