    I have been fortunate to know a number of these gentlemen who served in both Theatres. Listening to them speak of their experiences was sobering. Iwo Jima. Mauthausen. Okinawa. The Air War over Europe.

    Those Old Men I knew and respected are gone now, save one.

    I tried to link a picture of Herb Weatherwax and me. He is a Pearl Harbor survivor, and I met him on Pearl Harbor day, at Pearl Harbor. It was awesome.
