Wycliff and Islam Together?

Recently I heard someone talking about the Wycliff Bible Translators paying Islamic leaders in Bosnia to translate the Bible into a specific dialect/language.

Apparently because it is being undertaken only as an "academic" excercise it is okay.

Before we launch into the problems this could cause, can any one verify this information?

At http://www.wycliffe.org/language/home.htm you can see what this organization says about its efforts to translate the Bible into other languages. As for your specific question I saw nothing that would either confirm or deny this.
