    Well there is a similar topic going in the womens forum about being a mom, and I thought I'd start one about being a sister. {That's because I'm female, but i guess the list could work for brothers too, in some cases, but not all that I list below.}

    You know you are a sister when:
    1. Your borhter/sister find plesure in reading your diary and blackmailing you with it.

    2.when you just let the water out of the sink from washing dishes, brother/sister brings you a whole arm load of dishes they had under their bed.

    3. Your little brother finds your make up {see why I said for most instances "sister" fit better?!} and adds water to it, which basicaly ruins it!

    4. Your brother/sister runs screaming from the house saying "I got front seat!"

    5. You never have anything to wear cause you sister has it all in her room in various places, including with her friends!

    6. Little brother/sister spills Kool-Aid on your Geometry book, and thinks it's hilarious.

    7. Your brother walks in covered in mud, just as you finish mopping. {I nearly had a fit when my brother did that!}

    8. You hear silly jokes that make no sense at all, constantly, such as the famous "Knock knock jokes" {I HATE THOSE!}

    9. The "why" game becomes the main conversation with younger brother/sister.

    10. when a thounder storm comes, you suddenly hear a scream, and see your door burst open and a little one burst in to climb under your covers.

    Ya'll want to add to this?

    You know your an Older sister when..

    1. You are always the blame for everything.
    2. You are always "in charge" but are never listened to.
    3. You fit into your moms clothes and she gets to you about it!!! [IMG]
    4. Your sisters are constantly looking up to you. (That's a good one)

    You know your a sister when:
    1. Your little brother beats up on you, but you still win!!
    2. Your brother/sister is always thinking of some way to aggrivate you while you have told them over and over and OVER again that you are trying to concentrate on something...etc.

    It must be a female thing, that sounds exactly like the sort of things my sister says! [IMG]

    Baptist Tape Maker, maybe if you crazy little brothers would just realize that us older sisters are right, you'd have it easier! [IMG] LOL, ok, I'm kidding.
    Jamie, do know what is so awful about me and my brother? He's 10, and taller than me, and has nearly beaten everything out of me more than once! And THAT is pitiful! :eek: :rolleyes:

    OH Jamie! Don't you know it! I was washing dishes the other night, and as he dumped his dishes {that must have built up for a year, cause i didn't know we had bowls like that... :eek: } he kicked me in the back of my leg! You know fighting with him used to be fun when I could retaliate, but if I did now, I probably wouldn't walk! My dad says I probably won't get much taller, but my brother keeeps on growing!
    Ok, here's another way you know you're a sister...when it comes time for you to read the Bible with him, he hids it...and there's always fun when you find your brother telling people at church all the dumb things you manage to do in a week!
    But I guess it's worth it when you hear them taking up for you in front of his friends, or that rare {very very rare!} moment when he says "I love you sis!"

    You know you are a sister...

    when you speak with authority to your brother or sister, as you would to anyone else, and instead of paying the respect that you get from everyone outside of your family they laugh at you.

    When you try to present who you project to the world...but they know you too well and remind you of who you really are.

    When you don't have to explain anything...because they already know what you mean...because they were raised the same way you were.

    I'm the oldest...and the shortest. My brother likes to introduce me as his big sister while resting his elbow on my head. My sister rolls her eyes at me getting a ladder to reach something on the top shelf in my kitchen...as she gets it down for me while remaining flat footed. They both think it's very funny that I'm their little, older sister. It's nice being a sister...It's nice having someone love you for who you are, no matter what.

    I have a foster brother(who, by law, can commit murder and you can't disipline him at all for it :( [IMG] ) so yeah... some of those apply

    I wish I had an older brother... but the closest I come is the pastor's oldest son.... but he's a big brother to all of the girls in the youth group [IMG]
