I think that may be a little low, or your are in a depressed market.

Median wages of all major US cities is around 50k.

For Baptist (SBC) Pastors in Kentucky the average was: $46,000 starting (*).

I know that here in Texas, the cost of living in a major city is at least: 28,000 (Income). That is my basic bills, and yes, I cannot live on my good looks long.

    In Christ,

    Wayne

(*) This is informally based upon 300 churches reporting for full time pastors ...

2 Samuel 12:7 ....Thus says the Lord God of Israel: 'I anointed you king over Israel, and I delivered you from the hand of Saul. 8 I gave you your master's house and your master's wives into your keeping, and gave you the house of Israel and Judah. And if that had been too little, I also would have given you much more!

Margo, I like you! [IMG] :D

You don't (IMHO) take yourself TOO seriously!

And before any of you resident pharisees jump to any wild conclusions, I'm 68, a grandpa, and very happily married, so this post has no conotations other than it's "face value"!
