I didn't do this in poll form because I didn't want to influence anyone's vote.

If you could recommend only one seminary for M.Div. studies, which would it be?

Please provide at least one reason for your choice.

    Let the fun begin!

    StefanM,

If you are Southern Baptist, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary is your choice.

Because; it is scholarly, true to the inerrancy of Scripture, and Calvinistic in the Historical Southern Baptist tradition.

    TEDS

World class professors in an orthodox evangelical setting without sectarianism. Great exposure to the body of Christ in all its forms, yet upholds inerrancy, etc.

    I would agree with Rhet.

We also have profs who have come from world-class seminaries (like TEDS and others.)

I would say Southern as well for the reasons listed above.

    New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.

They focus strongly on the languages and they have alot of concentrations.

And now to hear from another sector of the Baptist galaxy. Depending on where in the Lord's harvest field you are led to labor in I would suggest:</font>
    • Maranatha Baptist Bible College and Graduate School, Watertown, Wisc.- they offer distance learning courses in addition to their on campus classes.</font>
    • International Baptist College and Grad School, Tempe AZ.</font>
    • Cavalry Baptist Seminary, Lansdale, PA</font>
    • and just to turn the temperature of the discussion up a few degrees Bob Jones University.</font>

If I was a SB, I would attend Southern.

If I was an evangelical, TEDS.

If I was a fundamentalist, BJU.

    If I was egalitarian, Gordon-Conwell.

    If I was Presbyterian, Westminster.

    If I was mainline, Fuller.

    If I was Methodist, Asbury.

Shame on you that you'd even have to ask!!! ;)

Of course, NOBTS is the best. Has THE best center for Textual Criticism, and I hear that they have one real fine, handsome, intelligent guy they'll be graduation soon with a PhD in New Testament. [IMG]

You ought to transfer to the "real" seminary.
