Just heard on Rush that George is to be charged by special prosecutor today. Didn't say what he will be charged with. Is this to keep the piece or do they have something on him? I think this is going to get uglier and uglier as time goes by.

This is just a formality, he has already been found guilty through the liberal, racist media. Sanford does not have the police force to curb another Rodney King mob. Easier to sacrifice one to save the many.

I think this needs to be done. If they are going to charge him, there must be evidence enough to do so. It will be interesting to hear the evidence once this gets underway.

To be honest, I'm not sure what to think about the case, except that, either way, it's unfortunate.

It looks like this evil woman drummed up enough false evidence to prosecute. Clearly she is abusing her office and taking the path of a true coward.

How do you know what evidence the prosecutor has or does not have?

On what basis do you characterized the prosecutor as "evil"?

I'm a little confused. It's obvious (to me) that this wasn't racially motivated; but we have several facts, such as Zimmerman following or challenging the kid after being told by the 911 operator not to do so. We have some evidence to indicate that Zimmerman was attacked; but by an unarmed assailant. We have the fact that Zimmerman used a gun when it can't be proven that there was intent or capability to cause him serious bodily harm or even death.

When a policeman acts the way Zimmerman did, he/she is automatically guilty of excessive force, and is identified as "probably" being prior military, and those that prosecute him/her are simply executing justice; anyone who argues otherwise is brainwashed and covering things up.

When a civilian does it, he/she is automatically innocent, and those prosecuting him/her are evil.

Maybe I'm missing something. Feel free to tell me where my analysis is in error.

There is no reason for the confusion. The evidence is that Zimmerman was attacked. He even had open wounds from the attack. A person does not have stop wait and get shot or stabbed or beaten down before they shoot once attacked. Under Florida law and even Texas law deadly force can be used if a person feels their life is being threatened and I see no reason why Zimmerman would think other wise. He had every right to shoot once under attack.
There is no evidence that he was following him after told not to. However whether he was following the young man has no bearing on the case as it is as much his right to walk that path as the young man. Zimmerman was attacked according to the evidence and did what he felt needed to be done to protect his life.
Your statement about the police is not true. Many a police officers have killed people who are unarmed and it is legal if they are being attacked. You do not have to ask the person if they are armed while they are attacking or wait and see if they are. That would be just stupid because of being brainwashed by liberals.

Actually the wounds are only evidence that Zimmerman was in a fight.

They do not tell us who started the fight.

If Zimmerman took the first swing would he still be justified in shooting just because he was losing the fight?

I agree. I was attacked once and you bet the guy ended up with injuries because while I'm small, I'm feisty. The only way to come out unscathed with me is to just shoot me from a distance. Seriously - just tickle me and I might break your nose (been there done that!), forget me fearing for my life!

You make my point. There was a fight, but there is zero evidence to show it was any way except the way Zimmerman describes. That means no evidence. You do not bring charges when there is no evidence and all you have is accusations.
The original investagation got it right and they know it. This is a witch hunt by a very evil woman. That is wht she was brought in by the liberals. They knew she would prosecute no matter what.
Thye are willing to throw Zimmerman under the bus to keep the peace. When the Panthers offered a reward for Zimmerman and that was against the law. It is like seeking a hit man and yet no one was arrested. This is all a criminal act on the governments part and they found this evil woman to carry it out.

Honestly, have you been involved in the investigation? There is evidence. The 9-11 calls, the voice experts, the evidence at the scene. There will be things brought out I'm sure that will give more light to what happened. There was no "initial investigation" because it's ongoing. My dad's a retired detective from NYPD and he said to be patient. They can't press charges until they have all their ducks in a row and that he would eventually be charged. He was right.

I went to an Angela Corey fundraiser in 2008 because my lawyer uncle had tickets and he invited me. I got to hang out with her for a few minutes. My uncle has known Miss Corey for years and loves her and thinks she's a special person.

What I find interesting about this whole thing is that the right-wing media is jumping at the chance to defend the "poor, innocent" black kid, but the Hispanic man gets demonized. I bet if Trayvon Martin were Hispanic and George Zimmerman were black, Mr. Zimmerman would be hailed as a hero.

I have noticed that Zimmerman has been portrayed, imho, as much larger than the Martin kid. The pictures they use of the kid make it look like he is 12-14 years old and Zimmerman looks like a towering hulk. Based on that, you would think he could easily overpower the kid in a fight and wouldn't need a gun to defend himself.

I saw a report a couple of days ago (on CNN) that said Zimmerman is only about 5' 8" tall and that the Martin kid was over 6'. The report said they both weighed about 180 lbs.

If that is true, then the images we are being shown are misrepresenting the dynamics of what a fight might have looked like between the two.

That said, we'll have to wait to see all the facts.

    peace to you:praying:

As a Christian, I am truly saddened by the deep-seated prejudice that is echoing thunderously through many of these comments. Now we're dealing with subtle forms of racism.

Brothers and sisters, check your hearts. To quote 2pac, "God is my only judge."
