Sounds kinda like we should let a snake bite us a few times before we stomp it's head.

If Bush invades Iran will it help or hurt tha Saudi's?

Anone who thinks the USofA is run by the voters or congress or the Bush family is kidding themselves. All of this was a done deal before Clinton was appointed president.

That's what they were telling me about Syria. The difference between the two countries is now Syria REALLY can't produce nukes. Thanx to our good buddies, the Israelis. Can't forget to thank them old Soviet-bloc nations, for providing the state-of-the-art technology that guarded said nuke plants.

I am torn between being very excited to see God's word come true, and absolute horror for my friends who have rejected Christ. His judgement cometh, and right soon......

Syria has never had nuclear weapons nor the capability to produce a nuclear weapon.

I don't want U.S. foreign policy based on some narrow(and what I believe to be false) eschatology. And I will fight politically with those that try to do so.

Israel took out Syria's nuke plants they said they didn't have. To deny it doesn't make it not so.

Ronnie and his supporters are good at denying the undeniable.

"There hasn't been an imminent attack on America in 220 years".

Which is true. An imminent attack would be by definition a foreseeable coming attack. If you consider 9/11 to qualify as such then that speaks volumes about Bush's national security.

Nothing in the definition in imminent indicates foreseable. Ronnie was wrong. Imminent means going to happen soon. Every attack has an imminent element to it at some time. This was just silly denial.

" Allegations that a Syrian envoy admitted during a United Nations meeting Oct. 17 that an Israeli air strike hit a nuclear facility in September are inaccurate and have raised the ire of some in the US intelligence community, who see the Vice President’s hand as allegedly being behind the disinformation....

According to current and former intelligence sources, the US intelligence community has seen no evidence of a nuclear facility being hit.

US intelligence “found no radiation signatures after the bombing, so there was no uranium or plutonium present,” said one official, wishing to remain anonymous due to the sensitivity of the subject.

“We don't have any independent intelligence that it was a nuclear facility -- only the assertions by the Israelis and some ambiguous satellite photography from them that shows a building, which the Syrians admitted was a military facility.”...

An earlier report by Raw Story cited Vincent Cannistraro, Director of Intelligence Programs for the National Security Council under President Ronald Reagan and Chief of Operations at the Central Intelligence Agency's Counterterrorism Center under President George H. W. Bush, as saying that what the Israelis hit was "absolutely not a nuclear weapons facility."...

One US intelligence source familiar with the events expressed concern about recent news reports describing Syria as having a functioning nuclear weapons program and cautioned against attributing those reports to the US intelligence community.

“The allegations that North Korea was helping to build a nuclear reactor have not been substantiated by US intelligence,” said this intelligence official, adding, “ but that hasn't stopped Dick Cheney and his minions at the NSC, Elliot Abrams and Steve Hadley, from leaking the information [to the press], which appears to be misleading in the extreme.” "

I don't doubt that if the U.S. were involved in a situation like WWII, men and women of all parties would join by the millions to fight. But, I don't believe that that many people view the current war in the same light. Therefore, I do think that a draft would result in more discontent with the war in Iraq.

It is more likely, MP, that Young Republicans would get deferments of one type or another while Young Democrats fight the war that the Young Republicans cheer on from the sidelines.

    Oh really!

Nobody in high office is using eschatology in their decisions. Just reasoned parsing of info.

That is correct. I don't see you or the others on your side offering any proof proving otherwise.

    1) That is correct. I don't see you or the others on your side offering any proof proving otherwise.

    2) That is debatable.
