I thought the topic of the resurrection thread still had somewhere to go, so I started a new thread here.
This was from JesusFan (who I wasn't able to answer on the other thread).
You seem to have a real big problem with the Biblical truth of the Incarnation...
God DID become Human Flesh, and walked among us...
He DID die as a sin bearer, for the sins of Humanity upon the Cross, paying sin debt in full. Propiation for whole World...
I don't have any problem with the Incarnation. On the...
#2. For the most part in this universe the will of God is being completely thwarted.
According to most "non-cals" God did not will suffering, sin, death, calamity, hell, etc...
Yet every single day about 70,000 people die, trillions upon trillions of sins are committed, the amount of suffering is immeasurable, calamity and chaos is every where, and the fires of hell are unquenched.
So God certainly did not get his way in this universe. He built it but he never intended for...
"Arminian 'grace!' How strange the sound, Salvation hinged on me. I once was lost, then turned around, Was blind, then chose to see.
"What 'grace' is it that calls for choice, Made from some good within? That part that wills to heed God's voice, Proved stronger than my sin.
"Thru many ardent gospel pleas, I sat with heart of stone. But then some hidden good in me, Propelled me toward my home.
"When we've been there ten thousand years, Because of what we've done. We've no less days...

The issue of a “litmus test” was brought up in Salty’s thread(“Baptist Standard on the KJV”), and the article was true in that regard; I do sometimes, use the KJV, as a litmus test(if someone uses it in Scripture references).
Now to the point, of needing a “reverse-litmus test”: It must be called that, because there is already a litmus test in play, whenever anyone shows support for the KJB; Immediately they are in danger of being branded as a backwards doofus, therefore every time anybody...
In another thread discussing original sin an interesting point was brought up about Jesus.
Christians say that Jesus was totally human and totally God. If at Calvinist say all humans are born totally depraved then it must be assumed they have to believe that Christ was born totally depraved. If he was not born totally depraved then he was not totally human in the accepted Calvinist view of original sin or at least as some have expressed it on this BB. How can this be? I am looking for a...
#1. The ridiculous notion that the terms "all" and "whole world" mean every single person is a terrible fallacy.
It is ridiculous because those terms hardly EVER mean every single person.

Are we under the judgement of God as a nation, similar to Israel in Amos 4:1-11?
here is an interesting article in light of the recent Camping predictions
Why Modern-Day Prophecy Theorists are More Dangerous than Harold Camping
What do you think?
Paul said, "19 Though I am free and belong to no man, I make myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God's law but am under Christ's law), so as to win those not having the law. 22 To the weak I became...
