What would your answer be...
...if someone came up to you and asked "How do I become a Christian? What must I do to be saved?" Assume the enquirer is ignorant of theological language and is only saying 'saved' because s/he heard it somewhere. -
Heresy hunting
Exposing false teachers and movements is very important. However what I see on FB, You Tube, and the like are that a number of new evangelical and Charismatic types are spending 100% of their time doing this, which I believe undermines the sovereignty of God and the sufficiency of the scriptures. Notice I never said that exposing false movements is wrong, its very very necessary, its just I do not agree with heresy hunters whom spend all their time doing that.

"Reprehensible!" is not an argument
It goes like this:
God is not in charge of everything because, if he is, then he intended for terrible things like the acts of Jeffry Dalmer to come to pass.
Enter logic-blinding, Scripture-skewing powerful emotions.
Once you get here it does not matter WHAT the Bible says- you will refuse to accept it because you do not like it.
Once you "feel" so strongly about something, logic is out the window and with it goes truth.
This is how "homosexual Christians" interpret the Scripture. They... -
Satan’s plan for “the Quelle lie”
Scripture has established that Satan is a liar(the father of liars), and his plan has always been the same from the very first words SCRIPTURE records him saying.......
“....Yea, hath God said,.????” (Genesis 3:1)
All Satan has to do is cast doubt upon God’s Word, so that people are fooled into not completely trusting it.

Then here comes the Quelle lie, that tells us that those used BY GOD to give us the Bible, didn’t really get what they wrote from the Holy... -
Testimony And Prayer Request In The Church
What is your view about this, What are the good and/or evil of including this in the worship service ? -
Which Study Bible Should I Get?
I've seen Ryrie's.
There is also the MacArthur.
Which one do you think I should get (doesn't have to be Ryrie or MacArthur)?
(and "I don't believe in study Bibles" is not a valid response for this thread--if you think study Bibles are not good, then move on to the next thread please)
Thank you for your consideration and Happy New Year! -
scriptural case for or against KJV-only
In the thread entitled "How important is the KJV" you have NO SPECIFIC VERSES in either the KJV OR any of your Modern Versions that support your position specifically from scripture EITHER.
Bro.Greg
I would agree that there are no specific verses that support making exclusive only claims for any one translation whether KJV or any modern English translation.
The Word of God is not bound by any language, any one translation, or any other barrier (2 Tim. 2:9). Therefore, it is definitely... -
A question about Church government
Although I was not raised as a Baptist, I have been a Baptist from the time that I got saved. And as a Baptist, I have always thought that autonomous Baptist Churches should have a Congregational form of Government.
(Important things get voted on, by the congregation.)
Also, as I grew(as a Christian), in my understanding of the Bible and what true commitment to the Bible’s teachings and the Lord’s leadership means, I naturally became an Independent Fundamental Baptist.

How Do you feel About "Full Gospel" baptist churches?
Do you attend one, know someone who does, any ideas on them? -
Would you/Do you attend a church that does not have a Sun and/or Wed service?
The church I attend and soon will be an elder has neither a Sun. evening or Wed. evening service. And it is fabulous!!! I used to pastor a church w/ the typical 3 (4 counting SS) services a week schedule. I hated it as a pastor. Now that I am ministering in a slightly different way, as well as just a member at large, I think it is awesome getting away from the ridiculous tradition.
And isn't it interesting that the evening services are the more casual styled service? Do we inherently...
