Could Life exist on Mars?
Although I don't believe the mission's actual priority is centered on finding life on Mars it seems that is the underlying question that many what to know. Is it even possible? -
We don't WANT "Free-Will"
My best friend: (a non-Calvinist)...and I, have a saying that we like to confirm with one another...We sometimes like to re-iterate to one another that:
"Free-will is a _ _ _ _ _ "
Do Calvinists unerstand this? Do they understand that "Free-willers" take little or NO comfort whatsoever in the notion that we have "free-will"?....Our own sin is (Psychologically) "Ever before me"....We see ourselves, as so ridiculously to blame, personally, as beings capable of righteousness...Yet... -
Mat 7:21-23
Who is this speaking about? How can we know we are not in thi number?
Mat 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. -
It is so plain in Gal 4
Gal 4:30
30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
This the same Truth being confirmed here Rom 11:15
15 For if the casting away of them[non heirs] be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?
Now the scripture is plain in this analogy that Paul was inspired to use in Gal 4, and that national israel according to the flesh @... -
Let Jesus be Jesus and Preterism Rings and Reigns all through the Bible
Ladies and Gentlemen it’s good to be back.
One night early last January as I sat down in front of the PC I knew I was overwhelmed with work and it wouldn’t be over anytime soon with rollouts and projects and certifications and away vacations scheduled and knew I had to give up something so I decided not to take on any more posting till my schedule would give a little breathing room. In fact I gave up even reading BP so I wouldn’t be tempted to respond to anything. Of course I knew Jesus... -
Is Baptism the New Circumcision?
1. Circumcision was not a part of the Mosaic covenant, but of the Abrahamic covenant. It had a much larger application than the former. It was closely connected with justification by faith and the promise of the coming Savior.
2. The circumcision of Abraham, according to Paul in Romans 4:11, was a seal of the righteousness of faith that he had before he was circumcised. God told Abraham to give this seal to his children/infants so that God could make them partakers of the privileges... -
I really miss contemporary worship
Was just listening to some old videos of the days when I was in the Christian & Missionary Alliance. Those guys were far more vibrant in their worship, and expression of God. Much, much more creative and colorful than Baptists whom I have not been as impressed with their worship. Baptists in general seem very very routine, and have very little creativity. I think I need to do some hunting on iTunes for some tunes. I am more aligned with the Baptist Theology, than the Charismatic theology in... -
The Book Crazy Love
Have you read it and if so what are your thoughts? Ordered myself a copy and would like to perspectives on this one. Thanks.. -
Has modern day Christianity been hijacked?
This morning I posted an article on my site that says modern day Christianity has been "hijacked" by liberal theologians. Below, you will find an excerpt. Tell me if you agree or disagree:
"Just as many Muslims claim that their religion has been hijacked, I too maintain that modern day Christianity has been hijacked.
The Christianity of my grandparent’s day has been reduced to a mere remnant of believers scattered throughout the world. Their replacement, a spineless religion more... -
The Church Not a Mystery
It is a bedrock doctrine of Classic Dispensationalism 1. that the Church was not revealed in prophecy at all and 2. that the inclusion of Gentile believers with Jewish believers in the Church was first revealed to the Apostle Paul. I believe that Scripture, properly understood, shows this to be false doctrine. Furthermore, the insistence of classic dispensationalism on the truth of those doctrines has unnecessarily splintered the Church and caused much ill will among the Saints as is...
