It's a matter of time. Time and Matter: Substantivalism vs Relationism
Due to recent discussions on the board about 'time' I'd like to argue my currently held theory of time. I subscribe to Relationism as described below. I know of no argument that would render Relationism to be unscriptural.
There are two traditionally rival views about the nature of time: Substantivalism and Relationism
Substantivalism:
Space and time exist as independent substances, i.e. they are
existing particulars in their own right, over and above the material

For the Catholics and catholic sympathisers...
This is about the priest John Corapi.
He was on EWTN alot, and, in spite of my view of catholicism, I have to say I really really enjoyed his talks and some of his preaching/teaching.
He had a very compelling testimony of his prior life before becoming religeous, and/or becoming a christian. I could very much identify with his prior life. Mine was similer. I really respected him.
However, I came upon some information recently that saddend and distressed me regarding Coropi

Irresistible Grace, John 6:37
I do not like the term Irresistible Grace though I understand where and why the term originated. Some of Arminian persuasion use this term to imply that God must drag the elect "kicking and screaming" to Salvation, which is untrue. John 6:37. All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
All that God the Father elects unto Salvation and gives to the... -
Chosen to Eternal Life? [Acts 13:48]
Acts 13:48. And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed.
Some on this forum insist that election is the decision of man and God rubber stamps man’s choice! The above Scripture demonstrates that this doctrine is completely false. It is God who ordains or appoints individuals to eternal life. -
Compelled to sin?
This is a very simple poll. Were you ever compelled to sin, forced to sin, or did you sin by choice? -
We have to obey Jesus!
I really want to know, who can read these scriptures telling us to obey, but deny them and tell others we do not have to?
Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling
Hebrews 5:9 and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him
1 John 2:4 The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he... -
Evidence of evolution?
Newfound Monkey Flower Reveals Evolution in Action
A new species of monkey flower has been found in Scotland, the product of a tryst between two foreign flowers. But this is no ordinary love child. While almost all such hybrids are sterile — just as mules are sterile hybrids of donkeys and horses — a rare genetic duplication allowed this species to...
