Is there a "universal" church?
This is for those who would answer NO:
1. What, in your mind is the danger of speaking about a universal church?
2. What is your interpretation of Eph. 5 where christ "died for the church"?
3. Is this debate really just semantics? Are both sides saying the same things but using different words...Does it even matter?
4. If church refers to only local bodies, and we all know those are made of both true and false believers, then how does that fit? -
The Corporate View of Election
Two things:
1. Give an honest and fair definition and explanation of what is known as the "corporate view" of election. (NOTE: this is NOT the foresight faith view)
2. Give your opinion as to why you accept or reject this particular view of election. Please be specific. Answers such as, 'Because the bible doesn't teach it," merely begs the question and are not useful in a discussion.
Thanks! -

Hence, Roman Catholicism place many MEDIATORS between the individual and God other than Jesus Christ.
Hence, the church and... -

Reformed and Alcohol
What is the relationship between reformed believers and our acceptance to alcohol (and smoking cigars/pipes too)???
Conversely, what is the avarice from the non-Calvinist with these things?
Why the opposites. Neither have to do with soteriology but seem pretty common together. -
Is It Homophobia, or Knowing His Truth?
I am sick of being accused of being a "homophobe" because I see it as a sin.
So, what about you? Are you homophobic, or just a believer [in what God has determined to be a sin]? -
