What would the following verse mean if
he who hath believed, and hath been baptized, shall be saved; Mark 16:16 YLT 1st part
believed: meant, as is implied in John 10:26,27 that is only sheep can be believers.
John 10:26,27 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
baptized: means, the baptism spoken of in Luke 12:50 and Matt. 20:23 that is if they be the same.
Luke 12:50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am I... -

Eph. 2:8-9 parallel with Titus 3:5 on good works
Eph. 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

But a body hast thou prepared me !
Heb 10:4-5
Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
Even though this Body was of Flesh and Blood like other men, sin excepted, and though it was subject to sinless infirmities such as growing weary, receiving bruising, yet it was a specially prepared Body, to bear the agony and sins of all those He represented, so it is written 1 Pet 2:24
24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree,... -
Protestant exclusion from RC communion
Why does the RCC accept other denominations' baptisms but then not allow those Christians to take communion in a RC church? This seems to me to be an inconsistency.
I hope our RC members will respond to this.
And let's try to discuss this in a Christlike manner -- if that's possible here. -
How Old is the Earth? Really??
I was watching a show on fossils, and turned it off after they continued to tell the audience that some fossils were hundreds of millions of years old. I find these theories hard to wrap my head around, because I believe the earth to be a lot younger than these old fossil hunters, and archeologists love to affix to their finds! Perhaps in the range of 7,000 years.
So, how do you, as a believer in Creationism, neutralize [offset, thwart, compensate for the huge age discrepancies] point... -
Hollywood Liberals: Are you supporting them at the box office and on Netflex?
It has been more than three years since we've seen a movie in a theater. My wife and I decided that due to the extreme liberal stand by so many stars on the big screen, we were not going to provide them a portion of our hard-earned money to spend on progressive/tolerant causes, or, to fund Obama's re-election.
The star who angered me with his anti-America stance is Johhny Depp [who chooses to live in France because he thinks is America is so bad] and foul, vile spewing Russell Brand.... -

Another thread proposed the following syllogism:
1. God is omnipresent.
2. Jesus is God
3. Thus Jesus is omnipresent.
But then Jesus is with God in Hell, as the Bible teaches.
Further, it... -
