Or we could stop telling other countries what to do, bring our troops home, Y'know, the left's mantra until about three weeks ago....

I have no problem with bringing all the troops home but the destabilization in Afghanistan and Pakistan would guarantee our future return.

I have never head any Liberals saying bring the troops home from Afghanistan, just Iraq.

Yeah, they were such stable places before we got there.

Why do we need to return ? We could take care of our own borders. We're pretty close to our own destabilization. We may need these troops here to prevent the looting & civil unrest that happens when the economy collapses. You sound just like the "neocons" did.

I am hoping and praying for great success for President Obama and it seems like God is gracious enough to be positive but perhaps we need to pray for the loyal opposition and I highlighted the three that struck out. In four years those kids that are 15 to 16 will be voting for the first time and it seems like big brother or sister voted for Obama. The south seems to be fairly strong for the Republicans but notice 8 percent un-decided.

For the record I did not vote for Obama.I am hoping an praying for him.

Lord Jesus good Shepard I pray for President Obamas safety and that you would protect his family give them wisdom in leading us out of recession. Amen and where two or more agree so shall it be by faith in Jesus name amen and amen.

If we could believe the polls, which I doubt, then Americans are schizophrenic. The latest poll, by Rasmussen, shows a 58% approval for O'bama rex and a 42% disapproval. The Real Clear Politics average shows that 57% of those polled think the country is headed in the wrong direction while only 36% think it is headed in the right direction.

The loyal opposition had 8 long years to institute their policies and what did we have when President Obama took office? Two very difficult wars draining our resources and straining our military to the extent that if a real attack should happen on America we would be practically unable to respond. A $1T debt punctuated the economic liberalism that prevailed during that period. An economic crisis was already in full bloom threatening to send us into the Second Great Depression.

I believe in the two party system. I've voted for both Democrats and Republicans for president. I believe that the Republican Party needs to seriously reevaluate itself and make some serious changes in order to be up to the challenges of the 21st century. I too pray that President Obama can get us out of the mess he found the country in when he took office. For America and the world he must succeed or we're going back into the dark ages.

The outcome of polls depends on when people are polled. If they are calling during normal working hours and polling people, they aren't contacting the working class, except maybe shiftworkers. Instead, they are mostly talking to retired folks, welfare users, and other people dependent on the government for a paycheck. The working class doesn't have time to sit around talking to pollsters and telemarketers.

And how does O'bama rex respond. He cuts the military budget and is whimping out on the missile defense system against Iran.

Wrong again JC. Can't you ever get it right. The deficit [FY 2009] when O'bama rex took over was $500 billion with a B. It is now after 60 + days of O'bama rex it is about $1.3 trillion with a T and about 6 months left to go.

So immediately doubling the "mess he found" (which is not true since he had a vote in the "mess he found" while in the Senate) is progress?

Someone needs to tell Mr. Obama there is no "I" in TEAM...but there are 2 "I's" in IDIOT

The time it took you to read and respond to this in the mid day is enough for you to take a poll. Or are you one of the parties you mentioned above?

I do my work at home. (writer/homeschool mom/full time housewife) When pollsters call during normal working hours, they call people at home, not at their work place.

Maybe you should add these to your list of people who are around the house when the pollsters call.

I might be at home, but I don't have time to talk to telemarketers. So, I don't include people like myself in my list.:tongue3:

Is the glass 70% full or 30% empty? I'd say it's 70% full.

Real Clear Politics polls show it is 60 % empty since that is the number of people who think the country is headed in the wrong direction. That means there are a lot of people out there who better look out for the Homeland Security Department. Could this be the group that Obama is going into the Civilian Security Force? It is almost as big as the Military.

The economy is in bad shape because of democrat policies that wanted to lend money for houses to people who were notable to pay for them. Your buddies Freddie and Fannie

And Obama is continuing the exact same policies of Bush, minus tax cuts, opposition to abortion, and strong national defense. What a change.

More government intrustion. More and bigger government agencies. More and bigger government control over our lives.

Obama is acting like Bush on steroids. How can you keep criticizing Bush, but embrace Obama? How?

peace to you:praying:

Wrong again JC. You just can't seem to ever get anything right. Guess it is cause you are left.

The economy tanked because of democrat legislation that forced banks to give mortgage loans and then democrats Barney the Frank and Chris the Dodd aborted any attempt to regulate their money trees Fannie and Freddie.
