I have three prayer requests this morning and two of them are very, very urgent.

The urgent one first. A co-worker of mine was put in the hospital last night. She is having trouble breathing due to fluid in her lungs. They don't know why the fluid is building. They are going to try to drain it this morning to help her breath. Currently she is on oxygen but it is not doing that much good. Several of us are taking over her classes. I am taking one of her "Psychology" courses. I don't have a grad degree in psychology but it is not a college transfer course so it will be ok since I am only going to teach the class for the last five weeks. Please pray that the Lord will take care of her and heal her! More important, that His Holy will be done.

Another urgent prayer request. Another co-worker's brother collapsed las night. They still don't know why. Running tests today. Please pray for him and their family.

The final (less urgent) prayer request is for me. I am feeling really bad today. I have a soar throat and the back of my nose hurts. As some of you may recall, I have had two sinus surgeries in the past two years with good results but not complete results. Wednesdays are my long days so I will be on campus until 8:00 tonight. I am going to get some ibprofein at my 4:00 break but I have to make it until then. Please pray that I can make it through the day.

These urgent requests makes us realize how short life can be and how life can change in a second. That is why we must walk with Jesus every moment of everyday because we never know when we are going to need His help or be face-to-face with Him. While we look forward to that day with great hope, we don't want to be out of His will when that day comes. No I don't think Christians can lose their salvation but the Lord will judge us by our Christian walk.

    Thanks for the prayers.

    UPDATE:

No news on the guy who collapsed and, in this case, no news is good news. It means that no major problems were found.

As for the lady with the fluid in her lungs, things do not look good at all. They found "spots" on her lung and liver. Not sure what those "spots" are yet but I think we all know the dangers. The lady is still in the hospital. Keep her in your prayers, please.

As for me, I am feeling better when I take my meds but I can't shake this cold, bug, whatever it is. I'm not alone though, I think everyone around here is coughing and sneezing.

    In Christ Forever!
    Martin.

==O, I do need to provide an update. I am much better, thanks! The guy who collapsed is better. The lady with the fluid in her lungs has not improved at all. She is still in very serious condition in the Hospital. Please keep her in your prayers.

==I would like to thank everyone for their prayers. It turned out that the lady with fluid in her lungs had cancer and it was all over the place. Anyway, I got word about an hour ago that she passed away this morning (4/11). I do ask that folks continue to pray for her family, the college, and her former students (who I am now teaching). :tear:

I don't know if she was saved. Let's pray she was.

    Thanks for the up-date.
So sad to of a person passing away and even more sad if that person
    was not a believer.
