Angie Harmon is not afraid to come out and say she doesn’t like how President Obama is handling the job — but she’s sick of having to defend herself from being deemed a racist.

"Here's my problem with this, I'm just going to come out and say it. If I have anything to say against Obama it's not because I'm a racist, it's because I don't like what he's doing as President and anybody should be able to feel that way, but what I find now is that if you say anything against him you're called a racist," Harmon told Tarts at Thursday’s Los Angeles launch of the new eyelash-growing formula, Latisse. "But it has nothing to do with it, I don’t care what color he is. I’m just not crazy about what he's doing and I heard all about this, and he’s gonna do that and change and change, so okay … I'm still dressing for a recession over here buddy and we've got unemployment at an all-time high and that was his number one thing and that's the thing I really don't appreciate. If I'm going to disagree with my President, that doesn't make me a racist. If I was to disagree with W, that doesn't make me racist. It has nothing to do with it, it is ridiculous."

Speaking of dislikes, the starlet has also had enough of the double-standards in the media.

"I do think McCain would have done a better job, only because I think he has more experience. I also think if W or John McCain or Reagan would have gone and done a talk show, the backlash would have been so huge and in his face, and ‘What is our president doing? How unclassy!’ But Obama does it and no one says anything," Harmon said.

The Obama worshippers have nothing else. They cannot defend a single action of his, so they have to resort to calling his many, many critics "racists". We see it happen right here. In fact, the people who do call out the "racist" name fail to defend a SINGLE action by the zero. It's downright silly.

But I don't think McCain would have done better. I think maybe some democrat congress makers would slow him down, but McCain would be trying to take us down the same road President Trainingwheels is.

Also to deflect any logical condemnation of his or ANY liberal policy.

Yes, it is too easy to make such accusations, particularly under cover of the internet. That hateful term is the last refuge of the liberal when they attempt to defend the zero.

Good question. Support for our President does not equal adoration or worship in any sense. I don't recall seeing anyone here worshipping the President or any other politician. In fact, to do so would be a violation of the First Commandment.

Anyone who throws the "racist" term out, instead of dealing with the criticisms.

Not saying it hasn't happened, but I haven't seen anyone throw out the "racist" term. Can you give any examples?

If you read enough threads, you'll see it. I have no desire to search threads out to find it. If you think I'm being untruthful, then fine.

I don't think you are being untruthful, but I'm just a "see it for myself" kinda guy. I personally haven't seen anyone use the racist card here, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

If you find the desire, and the time, I would honestly be interested in seeing it.

Then use the search menu and find it.

Yeah, a search for the term racist returns 500 threads (the max a search can return). A cursory look at some of those didn't show me anyone using the racist card.

Sorry, didn't know it was so much trouble to ask for proof when someone makes an allegation.

Matt, you have to read the implied intent in many cases to see this. They don't always come right out and use the word "racist".

Just observe as you read future threads such phrases as "--because he's a minority; --because he's an African American; -because he's not white" etc etc etc.

There are many ways that the "accusation" of racism is thrown out, often very subtly; and there are occasions that it is just a misunderstanding from either the poster or the accuser or both.

However once the accusation is made there are rarely any forthcoming apologies for the misunderstanding.

It's not just here, but it's a major deficiency in liberal arguments nationally that, if you can't refute the logic, throw out the race card!

This tactic has worked pretty well in the past, but I think it's becoming obvious to all but the radical left (which includes a few here) that it's a straw man of the first order.

Bottom line: I have been on this board for ~7 years and the allegation of the OP is correct!

You just showed up on the board. There isn't going to be to many who want to provide you proof of conversations most everyone else knows we had. Your doubt and or question on the matter is not impressive.

Thank goodness I'm not trying to impressive you Revmitchell.

When a new person shows up at your church and asks for proof of something you preached on, do you tell them "You just showed up here and I don't want to provide you proof of anything."? Do you tell them they are "not impressive"?

Again, I didn't mean to make such a stir and actually ask for references. I'll be sure to take you 100% at your word since you joined in Feb. 2006. Magnetic Poles join in 2005...so his word trumps yours!

Psss....let me let you in on a little secret many people forget. Are you ready?.....................................................................................This is only a forum. Let me let you in on a secret...people's actions away from church (and the other places you mention) show their true character. Act like a jerk on a forum and you're likely a jerk (even if you don't act like one at church). Not saying you are a jerk of course, just using an example.
