"WEll, hallelujah.... there may be HOPE after all that this guy will hear the Gospel, and truly CHANGE."

(That's what my wife said after I read her this article... she is not as pessimestic as I... LOL)

As a sidenote... this church is in the same denomination as I am!!!
God has a sense of humor!

attending a baptist church does not make one baptist.

I felt the same way knowing that Bill Clinton was a Southern Baptist!

you can call yourself anything, but it doesn't make it true. if I said I was a doctor, would I be just because I said it?

Very true, and also being a baptist does not make one saved.

True... Like I said last Sunday in a sermon... "Sleeping in a garage does not make you a car!"... LOL

    BUT...

YOu have to admit this is a step in the right direction.

At least he will hear the Gospel... the evangelical theology.. unlike his last church that taught liberation theology.

My wife, God love her, is one the most hopeful women alive.. when I read her the article, she immediatly told me she was happy for them.. at least they could hear truth, and God can change them. She said God may be up to something.

We have been praying that Obama will start seeking God's wisdom. God may be placing Bible believing Christians in his path to get his attention. Don't give up hope.
We can Change the world.. to quote Obama's slogan, "Yes we can"...

We don't know this. Granted, his chances of hearing the Gospel in a Baptist church are greater than the Church of Christ, but just having the name "Baptist" is no guarantee that he will hear the true Gospel.
