Someone else on the favorite jam and jelly thread suggested this. After voting here, go to the jam and jelly thread part 2!

So what do you like to eat with your jam or jelly or spread (or maybe butter)?

Then you need to vote "Other." I don't see a vote for "other" up there! :wavey:

I'm from the South, so I'd prefer a biscuit. :) Scones would be my second choice.

That's OK, Marcia--you had an 'other' option, so that covers everything! :)

    Pop Tarts??!! Pop Tarts??!!

Learn how to eat those in the Marines or were you still eating Twinkies?

You know I'm just teasing you, Mark. Why I'm sure there are thousands of manly men who eat Twinkies and Pop Tarts. I can't think of any beside you but I'm sure they are out there.

Toast me up a ciabatta with lots of butter...

Toast is good, especially if it's wheat or whole grain, but I prefer bagel, nothing sweet, either plain or the everything bagel. Preferably with butter only.

My first choice is a hot English Muffin with Orange Marmalade or Raspberry Jam on it, but my second choice would be a hot biscuit with either Raspberry Jam or Orange Marmalade on it.

I like toast. I like toast with butter. I like toast with peanut butter. I like toast with jelly or jam. I also like cinnamon toast.

I also will sometimes make what I call "Poor Man's Pancakes". Just take about 4 slices of toast, put a generous helping of peanut butter on each slice & douse it with syrup. Its not exactly healthy, but it sticks to your ribs. In other words, its filling & stays with you.

What I like even better is cheese toast. Use the broiler in your oven to toast one side of the bread. Then flip the slices of bread over & put a slice (or two) of cheese on it. Keep it in there until it melts nicely. Of course nothing beats grilled cheese.

All this talk is making me hungry.

I voted "other" since you don't have one of my answers. I like margarine (can't afford butter) and sugar free preserves (can no longer afford those either) on toast, and margarine on homemade breads. I make a lot of different kinds of breads, zucchini or with fruit in it.
