    Poor Texas! An office once held by such luminaries as Sam Houston and Ann Richards now is occupied by this buffoon. Of course, they also had Bill Clements and "W".

    Sam Houston was no federalist. He led the secession from federalism.

    I rejoiced at the Texas action and with the 20 other states (including my own, Georgia) that have passed or are in the process of introducing similar actions.

    The states are sovereign, always have been, and always should be.

    The feds need to go no futher than the Constituion permits them. Any action beyond that is moot, unwanted, and non-binding on the states.

    Richards biggest problem was foot in the mouth disease. MP you need to get out of that rarified atmosphere and breathe more O2.

    Unfortunately when the states ratified the 16th Amendment they started the Republic on the down hill slide.
