President Obama and Senate Democratic leaders are opposed to more investigations of how the Bush administration treated terrorism suspects, and 58% of U.S. voters agree with them. A number of congressional Democrats, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, are pushing for a wider probe.

Just 28% think the Obama administration should do further investigating of how suspected terrorists were questioned during the Bush years, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Thirteen percent (13%) are not sure.

The way the right is twisting this story...

Obama doesn't want the investigations, remember, he said lets put it all behind us.

It is the justice department and Pelosi that are calling for the investigations. The right is so intent on blaming Obama that they fail to see reality.

So this poll really means 58% of the voters agree with Obama...

This way he stays clean. Politics as usual. Otherwise he would not have had any documents released.

Then you're admitting he is a great politician and is staying one step ahead of his opposition...

Pass by the press. How do you condemn the press for reporting the news? So far, the news on Obama happens to be favorable. If Obama begins to blow it, they will report that also.

The problem with the right wing press is they have proven to be too biased against Obama that their stories can't be believed because many of the twisted stories like this one are easy to see through. Everyone in America who is not on the right knows Obama said he didn't want to prosecute so when the right puts out a story like this it gets discarded as more conservative twisting of facts.

However, and this is the sad part, the truth is there ARE some democrats that want heads given on platters but the right wing press loose credibility when they accuse the wrong person. And what's worse, they don't realize what the problem is... One day they will realize that Obama stock gets more solidified every time he is lied on because he is getting sympathy votes. And before you blame the left media, the same happened with Palin was criticized which is why the Obama camp had to leave her alone.

People don't like to think of America as the bad guy especially the Christian right who think America can do no wrong. The fact is we do things that are unacceptable sometimes and when we do we need to find out who did it and make corrections.
