As usual, you use an abortion thread to call our soldiers murderers.

    Despicable, but entirely predictable.

Are you just as concerned when others use almost every thread to interject abortion into the thread?

    Just curious.

But it is true that Bush has spent this country into bankruptcy in his efforts of killing innocent Iraqi women and children. Is there no concern about them?

Can someone really be this naive?
    1. Nobody can control where their tax dollars are going.
    2. Who says it's an unjust war---you?
    3. Murder----show me where our soldiers walked in and "muredered" any woman or child!
    4. The death of a 3 year old Iraqi girl or a 90 year old Iraqui (while tragic)is COMPLETELY different then the INTENTIONAL MURDER of a child!
    5. War is part of the Bible----Abortion is not!

first, why the concern over spending with Bush but not Obama? At least I've been consistent, denouncing both for fiscal irresponsibility.

Second, the deaths of innocents is a terrible thing. I love the honesty of these kinds of statements, though...I'm sure that Bush brought women & children to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., so he could have target practice.

Let me see if I get this right: since I didn't talk about Iraqi women & children in an abortion thread, I must want them dead. Does that mean since you haven't talked about 9/11 as much as I think you should, that you support the killing of innocent Americans? (kind of ridiculous, ain't it? Well, if the shoe fits...)

Show me a war where no innocents die, and I'll show you a work of fiction.

And for crying out loud...quit accusing Bush of personally and joyfully killing innocent Iraqi women & children. Lying is not becoming of a Christian.

JC isn't naive. He just hates a certain ex-president, and those who are conservative, so much, that he's willing to say anything to make his "point"

Yes that may be true..... but what about those who were nominated and turned down by Congress. i always thought Bork would have been an excellant choice.... but the Congress tore him apart. Thomas endured through what seemed to be a trumped up attempt to destroy the man and his character, in some of the most public and utterly disgusting interrogations presented ever on the news.

About half of those justices whos appointments to the bench was made by Republican Presidents have political loyalties through registration and roughly half of the justices are Democrats. When a Republican registers to vote.... or run for office, no oath to support all Republicans is asked as a litmus test whether he can run or not. When a Democrat joins his party, beyond registering to vote, and when he runs for office, he takes an oath to support his party and their choice of candidates period. I've heard some Democrats say, privately they'd prefer another candidate.... but because they took an oath to support the Democrat party, either to run or at some previous time in their life when they joined the Democrat party....... when they go to vote, although they may have different preferences...... they remember taking that oath and feel bound by it to vote a straight party ticket. No party in our country should demand oaths!

What did Jesus do to stop sin?

Oh, that stopped sin, did it? Did he just not know how to preach effectively, or what?

Ask the woman caught in adultery........He told her go and sin no more. Was you talking totally eradicating sin? That won't happen till the Lord makes all things new.

Where do you get the idea from that says Democratic candidates take an oath to support their party. Can you provide support for that statement?

That is a lie JC! May God have mercy on you for continually propagating the lie that tens and hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi's were murdered during the Iraqi war. That many were murdered by Hussein whom you apparently wanted to protect.

You do support abortion. The stand of your idol obama on the slaughter of unborn children was quite clear before you voted for him, therefore, you cannot deny that you support abortion.

The above is very disingenuous. You make it sound like Bush deliberately targeted civilians. That is patently untrue. In every war innocent civilians are killed. The rules of engagement in Iraq have placed the lives of US Military in unnecessary danger. Just have WWII veterans and Iraq veterans compare the two.

During WWII civilians were deliberately targeted, by the Japs and Germans first. But we fire bombed Hamburg and Toyko. More people were killed in the fire bombing of Tokyo than at Hiroshema and Nagasaki.

The fact that Hussein killed large numbers of his countrymen has nothing to do with whether or not we have also. You call me a liar. Can you prove that we haven't killed thousands of innocent Iraqi's?

If you cared what happens to our country you would not have voted for an empty suit. Your hatred for Bush is apparent in everything you post!

I thought you wanted to discuss Republicans and abortion. Now you jump to the Iraq war. Please do not put words in my mouth about the Iraq war or anything else. You are barking up the wrong tree when you bark at me about the Iraq war. If you want this thread to stay open, stay on topic or it will be closed.

You did not say thousands you said tens and hundreds of thousands. Don't lie again to cover up a previous lie.

AP IMPACT Secret tally has 87,215 Iraqis dead
By KIM GAMEL, Associated Press Writer Kim Gamel Thu Apr 23, 7:15 pm ET
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090423/ap_on_re_mi_ea/ml_iraq_death_toll

BAGHDAD – Iraq's government has recorded 87,215 of its citizens killed since 2005 in violence ranging from catastrophic bombings to execution-style slayings, according to government statistics obtained by The Associated Press that break open one of the most closely guarded secrets of the war.
Combined with tallies based on hospital sources and media reports since the beginning of the war and an in-depth review of available evidence by The Associated Press, the figures show that more than 110,600 Iraqis have died in violence since the 2003 U.S.-led invasion.

The number is a minimum count of violent deaths. The official who provided the data to the AP, on condition of anonymity because of its sensitivity, estimated the actual number of deaths at 10 to 20 percent higher because of thousands who are still missing and civilians who were buried in the chaos of war without official records.

The Health Ministry has tallied death certificates since 2005, and late that year the United Nations began using them — along with hospital and morgue figures — to publicly release casualty counts. But by early 2007, when sectarian violence was putting political pressure on the U.S. and Iraqi governments, the Iraqi numbers disappeared. The United Nations "repeatedly asked for that cooperation" to resume but never received a response, U.N. associate spokesman Farhan Haq said Thursday.

The data obtained by the AP measure only violent deaths — people killed in attacks such as the shootings, bombings, mortar attacks and beheadings that have ravaged Iraq. It excluded indirect factors such as damage to infrastructure, health care and stress that caused thousands more to die.
Authoritative statistics for 2003 and 2004 do not exist. But Iraq Body Count, a private, British-based group, has tallied civilian deaths from media reports and other sources since the war's start. The AP reviewed the Iraq Body Count analysis and confirmed its conclusions by sifting the data and consulting experts. The AP also interviewed experts involved with previous studies, prominent Iraq analysts and provincial and medical officials to determine that the new tally was credible.

The AP also added its own tabulation of deaths since Feb. 28, the last date in the Health Ministry count.

The three figures add up to more than 110,600 Iraqis who have died in the war.

So, what?! You can read, I assume, or you wouldn't have posted that. Where does it say that those deaths were attributed to the United States? In your own article it tells us that they were "killed since 2005 in violence ranging from catastrophic bombings to execution-style slayings". The US doesn't do execution-style slayings. That's the terrorists that do that. Those are the insurgents killing those people.

Sure, the US has killed some innocents. That's a fact. But the article you cite does not prove that the US has killed more than 110,600.
