If I were a higher ranking officer, I would ensure that everyone below me has plenty of water to drink before I get any. Part of being an effective leader is ensuring the safety of your own men & looking out for them.

Having short supplies in combat is nothing new. It has been this way in every war ever fought. However, my concern is that our troops in Iraq will get largely ignored as the current admins main focus is in Afghanistan.

The corruption in politics crosses both party lines. I find the whole thing reprehensible. And the majority of this happened under the Bush watch. You see, the buck stops with the CIC, whether Bush OR the O.

Where are the howling moonbat anti war liberals that whined about some combat troops only getting one meal a day during the invasion?

    Silence.

This is strange, didn't we spend billions on infrastructure the first few years in Iraq? Why is the tap water causing dysentery?

Did you all notice that this was in 03. That was six years ago. Is this still going on? I don't think so.

The dateline of the story is May 12, 2009, so it is logical to conclude it is still going on.

That is kind of what I was wondering with all that infrastructure spending and rebuilding we did in Iraq. I thought the objective was to solve this problem. If not, what did we spend all those billions doing???

    Did you read the story?

If you had, you wouldn't have said "I don't think so."
