As the Obama administration considers further steps to fight air pollution, a recent report from a Washington think tank shows that air quality in the United States has improved significantly over the last decade.

The American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research analyzed data collected by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and concluded that levels of numerous gases linked with air pollution have fallen off since 2001.

Among the findings: Carbon monoxide decreased by 39 percent, ozone by 6 percent, and sulfur dioxide by 32 percent.

No, Obama's policies seem to be precipitating a turnaround. I speak of the slide into near depression toward the end of Bush's term, where 8 years of his mismanagement nearly ruined the nation.

The carbon monoxide rises to the mile high city; the oxygen gets more rare with the subsequent affect on oxygen deprived brains.

"You are entitled to your opinion. But you are not entitled to your own facts."- Daniel P. Moynihan

I realize that the rarified air in the mile high city has affected your reason, particularly when corrupted by the carbon monoxide, but it is not the job of the president in a free enterprise economy to manage that economy. That only happen when we have a Fascist dictator which "bho" aspires to be, a tall slim dictator in contrast to his chubby buddy Chavez.

    As Jim 1999 says:

    Cheers!

Your constant inane personal attacks on me based on my geography are laughable. In fact, living at a higher altitude means my body has become more efficient at utilizing oxygen than those who live at sea level.

The concern is not your body MP! Your constant inane attacks on the Bush administration indicate my point.

Then stop your inane attacks on me. My observations about the Bush Administration are based upon facts.

My job went to Mexico under Clinton. Massachusetts lost a lot of jobs under him. I wonder about the air quality in the countries that recieved our manufacturing plants under NAFTA.

Increased deficits to stimulate the economy are straight out of the Reaganomics playbook. I do wonder if it will cause runaway inflation, but we shall see. But you cannot place your personal situation on President Obama's doorstep. However, I am sorry to hear of your situation. I am there with you.

MP longs for the days of Carter and his misery index!:laugh::laugh: However, this time around we will have a national sales tax on top of the income tax and this ???? was going to cut taxes on 95% of the people. To a Fascist that means raising taxes an all.

    Hey MP,

I trust that all is well with you and yours.

Read The Price of Loyalty by Ron Suskind. According to him, Cheney said that Reagan taught us that deficits don't matter (cannot remember the quote verbatim - it's been a while since I read the book).

Regards, hoping that God is showering you and yours with His Blessings,
    BiR (in St. Louis)

Thanks BR. I will check out that book.

St. Louis, huh? Quite a change from the Old Dominion. :)

Times are tough here right now, but by God's grace we will survive. Hoping you are receiving blessings now as well.
