    a million english words and I usually can't think one I most need. thats pitiful.

    The Canadian Oxford Dictionary committee takes four years to add or remove a word from that dictionary, which means about five words are added annually.

    The average person only uses a very small portion of any dictionary in their lifetime.

    I have always thought of "web 2.0" as a word & a number. I also think its crazy that someone actually has stated that there are 1 million words in the English language. Who's keeping count? Is there someone that can list all 1 million words in the English language? Are these words, all different words or are some of them spelled the same, but have have different meanings? When you think about it, English (especially American English) is a confusing language. Don't get me wrong though, I'm okay with speaking it.

    While 1M is only an estimate, whoever took the time to come up with that figure obviously had way too much time on their hands. :rolleyes:

    Oh, I type 90wpm, but with corrections that drops to abou 10 or fifteen.
