Dickson Analytical Study Bible

    Does anyone have a Dickson Analytical Study Bible or know about this volume? It seems that there are a number of Bibles called The Analytical Study Bible but the one I'm courious about is the Dickson. It appears to be out of print and used prices on Amazon.com seem to be high.

    What is the theological bent of this Bible and is useful for study?

    I have one that used to be my grandma's Bible. It is a KJV that has the ASV readings bracketed in where the textual variants are. It has book introductions, references, and an extensive dictionary at the end.

    I have not looked at it for a few years, so I will have to try and find it to see if I left anything out.

    I purchased one in the seventies, and it is still the only one that I use today (I've had it rebound once). The alternate readings (ASV) are helpful, although it makes public reading somewhat difficult at times. The dictionary at the front, and the history of the Bible has always been a big help. I find it more helpful than the Thompson Chain. I can't remember, but I think the cost was $25.00 back in the seventies. That was with a discount. I never hear much about them now.
