Automatic pay raise for Congressman

    My (democrat) congressman was a co-sponsor for HR 156. See who else is on board. If your congressman is not, then contact him and tell them they need to!!

    Nothing has been done since 6 Jan 09 ! :sleep:

    This is a bill that needs to be passed!!!:thumbsup:

    This is still a pet peeve of mine. Lets make this an issue for the '10 election

    It would take a constitutional amendment on congressional term limits. I suggest one 4 year term for both houses.

    Bill, this thread has nothing to due with term limits - I realize the link is no longer good, as the OP was from 9 moths ago.
    but just to amuse you, NO! leave the House at 2 years. Its hard enough for voters to remember what their rep did in the past 24 months, let alone for 4 years..

    Now, this thread is about automatic pay raises for Congress. You did realize that Congress gets an annual pay raise without voting don't you?
